Yes, it could have been done much better. Yes, certain people should have been better utilized.
But overall, I remember rather injoying the whole thing, and its seems I am one of few.
Thoughts?

Back then when I thought everything in the WWF/WWE was real I actually felt that WWF may go out of business. Back to topic, well imo it was great (but at the same time worrying that the WWF might go out of business LOL!) and one thing that would of made the Invasion angle even better would of been the inclusion of Benoit & HHH (If they were not injured).

I liked it, ive always been a fan of the whole "guys who dont like one another, but unite to defeat a common enemy" so when the entire roster did it i was loving it.

Yeah, that was such an amazing angl;e to me because that was right after I started watching (I started week after Mania 17) and it was really the first big storyline I had seen. I knew wrestling wasn't real but for some reason I thought WWF may actually go out of business so I was so scared during that whole match and when Jericho turned on Rock I almost had a heart attack (I was only 6 years old), but then the WWF team won and I was so happy. It could have been better though if they had guys like the nWo, Steiner and Goldberg which they all brought in later!

The Invasion angle is the major cause of Kurt Angle becoming a huge star. I ing loved it and it is perhaps one of my favorite eras ever. People just bitch because their favorites werent used right, like DDP.

No, there were parts of the Invasion storyline that I liked, but as a whole, it was the biggest missed opportunity in the history of professional wrestling (other than a few dream matches that never came to be).

I enjoyed it for what it was, but it definitely could've been better.

I thought it was hilarious, especially when Steve Austin was the leader of the WCW/ECW faction. It also gave us that great "shoot" from Paul Heyman on Vince McMahon.

It wasn't as bad as so many made it out to be. People were drooling over every major star from WCW being part of it and that simply wasn't possible. I guess it could have been, and hell it would've made things more interesting. Problem with the invasion angle is people think that they should have had the entire WCW Roster "invade" the WWF which is pretty stupid. If people would've gotten passed all that they might have been able to enjoy it.
Then again, for the life of me I will never accept Stone Cold going on the opposing side. That was just flat out stupid.

I remember marking out like crazy when Mike Awesome roared out of nowhere backstage at MSG during RAW to win the Hardcore strap. Then when the eCW group were added however it all went downhill from there as Shane & Steph had to be added & then of course the Invaders for want of a better word were just beaten so badly. Look at DDP he came in with a decent name and ended up being made a laughing stock, not only constantly jobbing out to Undi but his wife as well.

I loved the Invasion, I loved that whole entire era. The wrestlers and storylines. Even the crappy storylines seemed interesting back then. I miss '97-'01 so bad.

To be honest, I didn't like the inVasion. I think it could have been executed much better and to be honest it was partially responsible for my decline in interest of wrestling that climaxed in 2004 when I stopped watching for a few years. But I'm back on board and it's all good and I actually like the idea of different rosters now because it does give more of a chance for more talent to be shown which is great.

It is so easy to now say how it could have been done better but at the time I really enjoyed it my only problem was the amount of titles there was apart from that i thought it was good. Heel Austin was great.
