I've always loved the InVasion, mostly because that's when I really got into wrestling. Although it was great, it could have been better. But I understand the limitations they had with all the wrestlers wanting tons of money.

The Invasion was good. Different superstars could have been brought in for the Alliance side. The ECW part was perfect, but the WCW part needed tweaking. DDP was used incorrectly, I liked the People's Champion version of DDP, who took no nonsense and had pretty decent ability. Booker T was used correctly. I liked the inclusion of Test around Summerslam, he was actually a bigger name. Team WWF at Invasion was awesome, but I would have loved to see The Rock or HHH on the team at Invasion. If HHH was not injured, I just wonder if Angle would have gotten the push he did. Angle ruled as a face in that time period. It made you forget he was ever the Kurt Angle from 2000. He can play face and feel equally well.

If HHH was not injured, I just wonder if Angle would have gotten the push he did. Interesting you point that out. The WWF was planning to turn Triple H face in 2001. If Triple H had not gotten injured, he would have taken Angle's role in Team WWF.

Trust me when i say that, no, u are not alone on this.... i actually think that the invasion storyline was one of the best (if not, the best) storylines that WWE has ever put together....

Personally, I thought the story was ruined from the minute it started because Vince would never let two other dead companies go over his WWE boys. However, I'll be damned if we didn't get some spectacular wrestling from it. Say what you will about the writing but I remember that era being my second favorite when it comes to in-ring work, behind only 2000.

Something I have always thought was that at the Invasion PPV the WCW and ECW wrestlers were shown as equals perhaps even better superstars than the WWE however coem SUmmerslam time I don't know why and I can't think of a reason but to me it was like the WCW and ECW had lost a lot of momentum and were no longer equal to the WWE superstars. They did kind of turn it roun in the run in to the Survivor Series with the final battle being really dramatic.
Like I said before its easy to look back and say what could have been done better but at the time it was a real fun and enjoyable storyline.
