Man, it seems like everyone is bouncing up and down weight classes nowadays. Which is good, at least IMO, because it opens up a lot of "dream matches". Silva vs. GSP would be pretty damn amazing.

I thought from the way things were going they were looking for BJ to jump up & rematch with GSP in the Welter division & Anderson towards a mega fight with Chuck? I'd rather see that myself than GSP in the Middleweight division.

GSP vs. Silva is a match that is really to hard to call. Both are amazing guys in all areas. I would pay 50 bucks just to see that fight alone on a PPV. Hope it happens.
I don't see why people want to see Chuck vs. Silva. I really think Silva would make Chuck look silly.

I'm the other way, I can't see GSP moving comfortably up in weight, I think Silva would destroy him wheras I think the fight with Liddell would be far more competitive. Silva's crisp technical style vs. Liddell's brawling.

Well if GSP moves up, then really the rest of that weight class will finally be able to get that belt back because if he doesn't, then I really don't see anyone beating GSP.

I really think Silva would make Chuck look silly. I'd be willing to bet money on the opposite.

I'd be willing to bet money on the opposite. I swear I'm not trying to start anything here, but I'd just like to hear you're opinion as to why. The first reason would be because of the size advantage. Anderson Silva isn't a very large middleweight, and he'd be a SMALL light heavyweight. Rumors are that Silva would probably walk into the cage quite a few pounds shy of 205 -- he might not even be much bigger than 185, whereas Liddell would be above 205 (fighters who cut to a weight will almost always weigh more the day of the fight than they did the day of the weigh-in). The second reason is because Chuck Liddell's style would be an awful matchup for Anderson Silva. Contrary to opinion, Chuck Liddell is a VERY good wrestler, is unbelievably strong, and he hasn't been submitted in almost 10 years. Lastly, Liddell's striking ability is on-par with anyone in the world - Silva included. Liddell has great counter-punching, as has been shown MANY times, and Silva has never fought anyone who can stand and exchange with him. Yes, Liddell has been knocked out before; but those were also against fighters who are significantly larger than Silva, whom he was unable to control. I feel like Liddell would control the fight with Silva, just given that he would use his size to get Silva in a position where he's not comfortable striking. These things, combined with some others, would be my reasoning.

I dunno who'd win between Anderson and Chuck, but I'd pay to see it and that's all that matters.
