I'm not bashing TNA, I think they have a world of potential. I really hope they go somewhere. I really miss the WCW days, I like to hope TNA can take their place... However...
Try as I might to watch their show, there are 2 MAJOR things I just absolutely can't stand.
1. The 6 sided ring.
It totally kills the Wrestling feel. I think it looks awkward and I can't take it seriously. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the standard 'ol 4 sided ring.
2. Mike Tenay
His announcing (in my opinion) sucks. His voice is bad, and his style isn't any better. I couldn't stand him in WCW, I thought he was one of the low spots on Nitro...
I wanted to get everyone elses opinion on the ring?
I dunno, like I said I really hope TNA succeeds and gets bigger and better.

Hate it personally. I don't think it adds anything and just make them look bush league. People expect certain things when they see wrestling, big or athletic guys, 3 ropes, and a 4 sided ring. It does nothing to add to the product. It looks really small too.

To be honest I like it. It makes TNA different to everyone else.

To be honest I like it. It makes TNA different to everyone else. I agree. The six sided ring kinda helps them differ from everyone else in my opinion. But as far as annoucers I gotta say Don West is the one who annoys the crap outta me. However, he is better than Mike Adamle. ;D

To be honest, the six sided ring is nothing to me now. It's been around since they moved to FL and it's barely taken advantage of besides having like 6 sides of steel. It's a nice way to try and be different, but it doesn't do a lot for them.
Mike Tenay, I don't like him. My problem is he reads off production sheets too much, he has no emotion toward what's actually going on. JR may have been getting a bit off, but you always knew the guy had the emotion to sell it when it mattered. Tenay doesn't have that feeling to me. He helps book the show for christ sake, nothings a surprise to him. Don West is much worse though. He got better at it, but he was also the worst announcer ever for awhile. He still calls moves "KICK!" for a dropkick. Adamle does a better job to me because he at least he has someone in his ear to make sure he doesn't call a match West style. Announcing is big part of televised wrestling, TNA isn't helping themselves with that duo.

I enjoy the 6 sided ring, though I am starting to grow weary of it. It's a little too small, and takes a while for other wrestlers to get used to. I'd like them to go to 4 sides. But I'm still good with it the way it is

I like it for the fact that TNA wants ot be differant.
I hate it because the copied the idea from AAA, and tried to claim it as their own

I certainly don't hate the 6-Sided Ring, but I think TNA could easily do without it. I really liked the idea of the 6-Sided Ring when they first brought it in, in 2004, but that's also when they really focused on the X-Division, but nowadays it doesn't really add to anything. I guess, it still gives TNA a different look then all the other wrestling promotions, but I don't think it really matters what they use rather it be 4-sided or 6-sided, I personally prefer the 4-sided ring instead of the 6-sided, but I don't mind it.

I'm impartial when it comes to the ring. I do however think that if TNA wants to draw in that main stream wrestling audience they need to bring back the 4 sided ring and only have one entrace.

Like I said in the Impact thread, TNA will never grow with West/Tenay as the announce team. They are too nerdy... like a couple of old nerdy men. It's like pairing older versions of Michael Cole and Todd Grisham... accept Cole and Grisham aren't obnoxious fools.

I like the six sided ring, but mainly only for the X division.

Its an alright ring, but you get used to it after a while and it loses its appeal, but the ring is great for the X-Division wrestlers, but at the moment TNA still has a low priority over the X-Division so its pretty much useless.

1. The 6 sided ring. It totally kills the Wrestling feel. I think it looks awkward and I can't take it seriously. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer the standard 'ol 4 sided ring. well its 6 sided for the X-division wrestlers and for more of an opertunity to pull off their high risk moves and that, also i think its a new retro cool 8-)style for the new age of wrestling. IMO the squared circle is SOOOOO boring and done 2 death and the 8-sided ring is a little OTT, hardcorelews

I said I'm indifferent because I really couldn't care less about what ring they wrestle in... if the matches are good and the build is intense then the product's good... the ring has no bearing on that imo. They could be wrestling in an open field for all I care, just as long as they can put on a great match...

To be honest I like it. It makes TNA different to everyone else. AAA called - you know, the organisation TNA took the six-sided ring from..
