Well , After watching that whole plate glass table thing with 3D and Cage I'm just thinking , you think maybe the announcers kinda over hyped the bump . I mean its nothin to me cause ive seen Czw and all that good stuff and its nothing new so do you think maybe they kinda oversold the whole thing or what. And one more thing do you think thats real glass or sugar glass I keep hearing their using.

How do you figure they over-hyped it? Just because you've seen it? Honestly, most likely alot of TNA fans haven't seen something like that. No biggie - also does it matter if it was real glass or not? Really, the internet really knows how to kill the hype of something.

Let's forget about the glass.....
The fact they showed a bloody towel before the EMT got the Christian was pretty bad.......

I liked the spot, and I liked the table. Kind of a big step for TNA, going into a new element.

They tried something new and it ended up looking foolish. No reason to show that the towel had red stains on it before it even touched Cage. Also they should have told Christian to sell it better.

I laughed at it. Like two others said, showing the red stained towel before the EMT touched Christian hurt the segment a lot. Risky segment to try and to have it fail must suck. That was a spot that should've been saved for PPV though. This is a problem TNA has, they blow big spots on their taped show. A spot like that needs the initial shock to cover the red spotted towel on live TV or PPV. But it was taped, they had time to edit that and they still had the red spotted towel shown blatantly. I don't know if TNA's director sucks or he's pissed at someone, but that was terrible.

No matter if they showed the towel before it touched him or not (which I didn't notice really) it was still a great spot.

I noticed that too. You can see very clearly that they don't want you to see his back so they hide it with the "bloody" towel. If it was legit they'd have shown the lacerations. If you're going to do something like that don't try to fake it. It would have still looked brutal if he hadn't been cut.

No matter if they showed the towel before it touched him or not (which I didn't notice really) it was still a great spot. Jesus, SG. Not a knock at you or anything (so don't take it as that), but is there anything that you disagree with TNA on?... at all? I mean the initial meaning behind the spot was great, but once it happened, it looked silly and foolish. Christian didn't sell the correct way someone would if shards of glass were wedged into his body, he just layed there motionless. As for the EMT, terrible job at hiding the towel. Not only did they show the bloody towel before he touched Christian, but when he touched his chest... it has the same amount of blood on it than it did when he touched his back. Simple put, they failed with this one. Not even the crowd cared all that much. Thats what they needed to do there, make the fans/viewers BELIEVE that Cage was actually hurt. Not hurt him, like some companies do, but also not under-sell the unjury. It's like that one ignorant friend... he means well, but he just doesn't come off that way. - Triple S

The towel really hurt the spot as right when he got to Christian I could see the towel has red spots in it before the even shown him touch Christian at all.

Just because you've seen it before doesn't mean that everyone's seen it before. Plus, it's the announcers job to make a spot seem huge. they apparently did that...

Jesus Christ, you take everything I say and go "Hmmm, how can I take what he said and twist his words". I thought the spot was great and I didn't see the bloody towel before it touched cage - ing sue me.

the glass was real, but it was wrapped in plastic so that it wouldnt cut Christian. hence why they wouldnt show you his back and used a pre-stained towel. he did get a small cut on his underarm, but that's it. it was a good spot b/c it lets 3D have a new thing, like when they started lighting tables on fire in ECW and then putting people threw them. now they use plastic wrapped glass. it's something fresh for 3D. watch Big Japan if you want to see actual glass being used in a match. they also plastic wrapped it so that they could relatively control where the broken glass went. if pieces of glass flew into the crowd, someone would have sued TNA. they also dont want to lacerate the back of one of their top stars and have him scarred, just to put over some mid carders.

I'm not "twisting your words", SG. But once again, you take a comment that isn't 100% positive and get all defensive about it. I just find it odd to believe that everyone mentions the bloody towel and the one person that just so happened to have not seen it.
Not implying that your lying or anything, just find it odd. Chill out man. You said it yourself, your a TNA mark and you don't care what people say. Well, apparently you do. Even when it's not a knock on you or anything. So again, chill out. No need to get all defensive about a comment.
