I read somewhere, on some newsite, that there was an idea to make Ted Jr. use one of his father's old tatics and purchase a draft pick.
Now, I don't really care if that is true or not, but it made me think about how Ted Jr. could purchase DH Smith as that draft pick, or buy his contract.
I think that since Ted Jr. allegedly named "Son of Bulldog" as his partner, I guess, I thought WWE might have pulled a swerve in order to save the surprise. Since I think everyone believed it was Smith.
I'm not trying to say anything those newsites said was true, i'm just saying, it's a logical thing to do.
If it's not DH Smith, i'd say a Cody Rhodes turn or Deuce, who is the adopted son of Jimmy Snuka, and has gone under the Jimmy Snuka Jr. monicker many times on the indies.

Why is everyone so obsessed with Ted Debiase and DH Smith becoming a tag team?
Don't you guys realize that they will more than likely be more boring than watching paint dry?
God, I'd rather have fat IRS or M$M come out of retirement and team with him....at least it might be interesting and everyone can go on a brief nostalgia trip.
But DH Smith who has no mic skills and very limited ring skills, and Ted Jr. who has no mic skills and looks like a fat Randy Orton....this team is headed for failure if it happens.

Talk about not giving anyone a chance. They are YOUNG talent. It's not like Randy Orton, Batista, Cena, or any major main eventer in the WWE started off as an amazing talent and great mic skills. Give them damn time to develop their skills, their damn rookies, you can't expect them to be as talented as guys who have been wrestling for over ten years. The reason people care, is because, those guys you want to "comeback" are never going to and will never be the talents they once were. The closest thing we have to them, are their sons. So therefor, we hope they amount to talented workers and hope they one day, will be on the same level as their fathers. But you can't expect them to be amazing workers their first year in the WWE and in their first few years in the business. They are still learning alot and they have to learn it on WWE TV, because OVW and FCW can't teach you about working in a huge arena and on TV.

I really can't see them drafting DH Smith over to Smackdown! just to bring him back to Raw.

You cant see them drafting him there? They did though...it happened. What's so hard to see? Is every that ing caught up in internet crap where him saying Smith would be his partner HAS to be true? My guess is because he said it, not going to happen. WWE HATES crap being giving away to the internet. If it is DH Smith, that sucks, because he's even less exciting than Cody Rhodes.

It's not that they're always going to be boring...it's that nobody gives a crap about DH Smith right now. If DiBiase announces his mystery partner to be Smith, the arena would be silent because NOBODY WOULD CARE. They NEED to kick this new-generation storyline off with a bang. Having Deuce debut as Jimmy Snuka Jr would garner a bigger reaction. DH could say he's been abused in the tag division recently. Or the M$M himself could be his partner. Or Cody Rhodes. all of those would be kicking off the storyline with a bigger bang.

It takes time to develop MIC skills, there is a learning curve to it, but some people just don't have that natural knack for it.

Oh yeah, its not like their fathers have been in wrestling before and its not like wrestling is in their blood or anything. You have to give them time like "sick jake" said. They arent gonna debuted and be a pro at everything. They have to get better. And who says DiBiase cant wrestle. We havent seen him yet. Same with DH, we saw him win one or two matches before he became a jobber. Give it time

Its a really good idea.
But c'mon, give him his own gimmick. I personally would hate having my fathers gimmick if I was a wrestler.

Ted Jr.'s gimmick actually contradicts Ted Sr.'s. Ted Jr. is priceless but Ted Sr. swore that Everybody has a price.

I'd like to see this happen.
Holly and Cody come out and get in the ring, bounce around and ineract, look to the stage. Dibiase comes out by himself and stand at the foot of the ring. He grabs the mic and states something like "I'm not the only son of a famous father in this business, and you Cody know what it's like to have to always try to not disapoint your old man, but my friend that is here tonight, he also has had to not only keep his fathers legacy going, but his grandfathers legacy going aswell."
I hear voices in my head.......
Randy Orton sneaks in from behind Holly and gives him a RKO. Cody gets in a defensive position and acts like he's ready to fight, but instead embraces Orton with a hug as Ted covers Holly for the pin. Your new World Tag Team Champions Ted Dibiase Jr. and Randy Orton.
So now we have Orton, Dibiase and Rhodes in a Next Gen stable. Next night on RAW, Randy relinquishes his title to Cody Rhodes for trusting Ted and Randy and going through with the double cross. Randy states that like Ted jr. he also has a hankering for gold and that he WILL take the WWE/World title (Which ever comes to RAW) off what ever bastard gets in his way.
Orton takes the leadership role of the group, Dibiase plays the instigator or the guy that ends up screwing people over because of his wealth and ability to talk his way into or out of things, Cody plays a goon in the army. When I mean army, I'm leaving roles open. Ted Jr. starts talking sense and paying other next gen kids (DH Smith, Natalya Neidhart, Snuka Jr., Terry Gordy Jr. (a.k.a Jesse), Afa Anoai Jr., Joe Hennig, TJ Wilson)
Thats quite a few people that could fit roles. There could even be an group against them consisting of faces. TJ Wilson (could rename him TJ Hart to play off his familys legacy.) Natalya and Harry could reform a Hart foundation. Afa, Snuka and a few others could rebel. Who knows, tons of possibilites open with that roster.
