You forget he was pushed ridiculously before he even appeared in a wwe ring...every half an hour there was 13 video flashing up in the middle of promos and matches. The wwe must have had faith in his ability tho when he first arrived. Oh and that was NYC as well the home of ECW
Theres other examples of poorly pushed ex-ECW guys... u cud debate RVD is one of them! But i mean Raven...endless storylines and possible angles, that TNA have utilized. I just think Vince never really gave many of the WCW/ECW guys a chance. However all statements aside, i seem to remember Tazz calling an end to his wrestling career and not the wwe. I remember JR in an old blog saying it was a shame that he quit so young.

Thing is in EVW the lack of size didn't seem such an issue because the guys weren't as big but in WWE he looked so tiny beside a lot of the "superstars" Also a lot of his offence was mainly those killer suplexes & I can't see many guys in WWE lining up for those. In eCW it was all about risking your body to put on a great match, that mentality didn't really exist in WWE. RVD had a similar problem as a lot of guys refused to take the Vandamninator especially after he accidentally cut & bruised a few guys.
The great response he got in his debut was cause a lot of fans were pleased to see him in the "big league" and lets not forget it was in his neck of the woods. He was always destined to be a solid midcarder & no more in the size obssessed WWE, to think any differently is insane. Yeah Rey got the strap but he had the different high flying style that compensated for his lack of size & unfortunately the push from Eddie's untimely death.

If Mysterio could be champion, Tazz could. I hate how Vince never pushed any WCW/ECW guy. Really? - Jericho - Goldberg - Rey - Eddie - Benoit - Triple H - Steve Austin- Mick Foley - Rob Van Dam - Big Show All of which had a ton of success in the WWE, and all of which passed through WCW and/or ECW.

He really did have what it took to be WWF Champion....but they always jobbed him out. Tazz was over enogh to stand toe to toe with Steve Austin. The crowd was behind him 100% and WWF just burried him. ca.youtube.com/watch?v=vYOno0d6cmU&feature=relatedThis was a feud that should have been continued "Unless Booker T got real short and real fat real fast, you ain't no Booker T!"Awesome!
