Plastic Bag for 5p each.
From 1st July, WoolWorths going to charge people 5p for the WoolWorths plastic bag. The 5p will goes to Children Charity. Forget which children charity that they will give the money to.
I going in WoolWorths today for DVDs, and rea dthe banned on the DVD shelves, there was say about 5p per plastic bag.
What do you think?
I think that was both, good and bad.
That was good if people buy one thing, like as DVDs or so. And its for charity, which was cool idea.
But I think that may would be bad if people buy lots of stuff from WoolWorths, and they will need plastic bag to carried to home, especially for christmas time.
I know 5p mean nothing, but that may would affect to the poverty people.

As long as its for charity then I have no problem with the idea. Plus, this might make people not use as much plastic bags which is good for the environment.

No matter how many times you read that, he's still right. 5p is nothing and you should get over it. Stop being a stingy tart and pay for the damn bags.

It's nothing new. It's similar to Asda's Bag for Life or the Co-ops Fairtrade bags. If it's for charity, then I'm all for it.

Thing is though as ONLY 5p no-one is going to care & will continue using bags. This will do nothing to stop the use of plastic bags, I just hope all shops that adopt this are giving the money to charity & that the charity gets every penny of it. My only concern is if the charity only get a certain %

meh 5p, should be 10p at least, ain't gonna really reduce the amount of bags, unless your really tight with 5p. That's why you should keep re-using plastic bags
