TNA used to do 1.0-1.1 regularily, since Joe became champion, it's been more rare.
I laugh at this.

I figured instead of starting another ratings thread to post this here.
This data is for the 6/12 iMPACT (Angle/Styles Main Event)
In ratings figures from the 6/12 Impact, the show opened at 0.97 for Samoa Joe vs. Kaz, plus a Joe-Booker verbal confrontation. Promos from Kurt Angle and Daivari following it lost 140,000 viewers. The first World X Cup tournament match featuring the Motor City Machine Guns vs. Naruki Doi & Masato Yoshino gained 126,000 viewers. A match featuring LAX vs. James Storm & Robert Roode lost 153,000 viewers up until the screw-job part of the match. The return with LAX then winning, the post-match angle and Gail Kim vs. Velvet Sky gained 83,000 viewers. The second World X Cup tournament match featuring Alex Koslov vs. Curry Man gained 28,000 viewers. A match between Sonjay Dutt and Consequences Creed lost 97,000 viewers. The Impact main events usually aren't the highest rated segments of the show, but this one was. Styles vs. Angle drew a 1.06 rating and gained 278,000 viewers, one of TNA's best ratings growth segments of the year. Going up against the NBA Finals the show drew a 0.93 rating and 1.3 million viewers. The show did a 0.59 in Males 18-34 and an 0.87 in Males 35-49.

That shows that maybe thrusting TNA origanals into everything isn't the best answer.

I think the show has been on a steady decline for a while and Joe probably doesn't have a lot to do with it. It will be interesting to see if they put the title on someone else if it really changes or if it's just an overall decline. I think people are just tired of the same scenery at Impact, tired of the six sided ring, and tired of the announcers. TNA need something big and different to happen to bring people back AND bring in new people. I don't know how to accomplish this though. They've got a lot going against them. Kudos to them for surviving this long. I do hope they make it.

This goes to show that Joe being Champ; isn't as big of a draw as was thought.
One other thing that may be hurting ratings is the Floods. Many people (me included) have been without cable or satellite dish for a few weeks. DirecTV said they are swamped with repairs due to the Floods, and can't get to us til July 6th; this appt was made 2 weeks ago. One good thing about it; repairs are totally free!
