To the WF indy fans, how's it feel? CM Punk, a man many of you followed since the very beginning, following him all the way through the indies, through ROH, through TNA, through his time on WWECW, now he is literally the top man in WWE, seeing as he is world champ of the company's flagship show. What's it like?

He's so far from the top guy, not to mention he STILL gets barely any crowd reaction.

Punk is pretty much the reason I got into indy wrestling in the first place (I remember reading about his feud vs raven in one of the PWI sister publications), so it's pretty surreal. Not to mention I was there at Unscripted II, so I can say I made snow angels with the World Champion. Not too sure how many other people can say that.

I expect him to lose it at the next PPV so let's not get use to be but enjoy it while it lasts. If I was booking Punk would be the under dog where everyone thinks he's gonna lose. It first will start with Batista followed by Cena, Jericho, HBK, Orton and what not with him coming out on top. Of course we are talking about WWE so the chances of that happening are slim to none but it would be cool to see and keep me interested in RAW without Cena and Batista hogging the spot light.

So you want him too be Cena. I agree except minus the underdog. Have everyone doubt him and treat him like an underdog. However he always wins in the end. Have him win like Cena in his first reign but lose ssometimes on Raw. I actually quit watching Raw for 15 minutes. The second I heard he won it was on.

Because that's exactly what I said. Everyone doubts him but he wins. Also Cena hasn't been the underdog since 2005. Everyone buys him as a legit main eventer for a long time now.

It's ing awesome, I never thought Punk would have even got the ECW Championship let alone get drafted to Raw and the following week win the World Championship of the WWE in general...it's just crazy...I never would have thought he would have accomplished this much in WWE.

Truly an amazing feeling, to say the least. Punk was the main guy who got me interested in ROH, as well as the rest of the indy scene.

It feels great. Punk got me into ROH after I heard about his matches with Samoa Joe. Now both guys are the top guys in 2 different companies. I guess they were right about the Parallel Lives Theory.

I say good for him. Not sure how long it will last, but hey he's in the history books and he must be doing something right. I hope they let him have some good matches.

I honestly think its intellectually- disabled as Ive never crapped my pants over his matches like everyone else.
I dont think hes anything special or over enough to get that honor, but I doubt it will last long anyways so im not too bothered.
If he was as over or moreso than Jeff Hardy Id be all for it, especially because he is a better worker, but hes not that over, so i think its dumb.
The initial pop was great, but that was merely due to shock and awe. When he came out to defend and retained, those pops were pretty average.
Whats the parallel theory I keep reading about? Like how Edge and Christian were top guys finnally just like Joe and Punk now?

The way I see it they needed some face to get the belt so they can turn Batista heel. There is no need to do Batista/Cena yet or give the belt to Mysterio so Punk was the only one left for the job.

Like how Edge and Christian were top guys finnally just like Joe and Punk now? The parallel lives theory was created by CM Punk and Samoa Joe. They stated in their shoot interview, that if someting stupid happens to Joe, something stupid happens to Punk shortly after, that's similar. If something good happens to Joe, then something similar happens to Punk. They used a bar fight as an example. Joe got pissed at a guy annoying his girl, and Joe threw him through a window. Shortly after, Punk was annoyed that a guy at a bar grabbed Traci's(his gf at the time) ass. Punk headbutted the guy and knocked him out cold. So, Joe won the World Heavyweight title in TNA, and shortly after, Punk won the World Heavyweight title in WWE.

Good for him I suppose, but I just don't like how they did it.
He was losing frequently and cleanly in the majority of his matches, in fact he has only ONE PPV win since Survivor Series and we all know what that one win was.
They should have built him up a little better, because right now I just don't buy him as a legit champ and I'm still wondering if this will be very short lived, my guess is is that he looses it to someone(likely Cena) at Summerslam.

Ever since I saw his 45 minute Tables and Ladders match with Chris Hero back in 2001 I believe, i have been a fan. Then, when they did the 60 minute draw and the 93 minute match, i was hooked.
Still, one of my favorite live experiences at an Indy show ever....was seeing the triple threat IWA had between Punk, Rey Jr., and Eddie Guerrero. Amazing night.
So naturally, I marked out HARD.

you know what. Id love to see the Rey Eddie Punk match. If anyone could make enjoy a match with Punk, itd be those two.
Im guessing this was from that little shot where Eddie was fired and Rey hadnt gotten called yet?
