you know what. Id love to see the Rey Eddie Punk match. If anyone could make enjoy a match with Punk, itd be those two. Im guessing this was from that little shot where Eddie was fired and Rey hadnt gotten called yet? Yeah, it was right before Eddie came back and Rey got called up. Rey was still maskless. You should be able to find the DVD or VHS on Smart Mark....it's an IWA Mid South, Indianapolis show.

Punk/Eddie/Rey wasn't that good. It was just an average match that was very short.

I preferred Punk/Eddie myself. Was gonna say the same thing. If you enjoyed Latino Heat back during his days as Intercontinental champion. You will enjoy the intensity, and overall direction of the match. Me, Punk was on my radar long before he was signed. I hoped for success, the moment he came to ECW under his familar name. But yeah, I may have marked out when Punk's music played and he pulled an Edge-like move on Edge. Cashing in the money in the bank. I definitely felt like, no way.. this couldn't be true. At least not now. Since most everybody on this board pre-NOC or pre-draft, spoke of Punk being the first to cash in and lose. However, Punk's win was a major moment for me. I really enjoyed Raw, but that put me in the positive vibe to enjoy it more. The best opening segment I can ever remember seeing.

I did not believe Punk was gonna lose in his bid. From the moment he wont it, I figured the E would give it a good 6 months or so before allowing him to cash it in. Either that or someone would defeat him for the briefcase. But if he cashed it...he was gonna win it. And as soon as Killswitch Engaged kicked in.......it was inevitable.

The thing is, at the time, it was truely a sight to see. No matter if you weren't impressed or not. The Indianapolis scene was crapback then and has gotten better in the years. So it was really amazing to see two top guys in there with Punk, especially in that area. Because back then, all the shows were just hot topic heros. So now, to look back on it, it was really a cool time.

Punk wasnt , isnt, and never will be on par with Eddie Guerrero with anything involvin pro wrestling.
Im not trying to be the guy shitting on Punk in this thread, but that last statement was bogus.
