I think his match with Bulldog at Summerslam will always be the greatest match in the history of the WWF/E.

I think his match with Bulldog at Summerslam will always be the greatest match in the history of the WWF/E. All a matter of personal opinion but his match with Davey Boy in London is my favorite also.

Bret has said himself that Summerslam 1992 was his favorite match and probably one of his best.
I can't disagree with him there. Other favorites would be the Perfect series, Owen series and, of course, the Austin series of matches, too. His later work with Bulldog in 1995-96 was also excellent, so it's really tough for me to decide on just one.

vs. Austin at 'Mania 13. Not only is it a five star match, but it completely revolutionized wrestling in the long-run, beginning Steve Austin's face turn that ultimately led to Austin being the hottest star wrestling had seen in forever, and Bret Hart's heel turn, which led to NUMEROUS awesome angles during 1997, including the Hart Foundation vs. Austin and his cronies, the Undertaker vs. Kane, the formation of D-Generation X, etc.
And I went with my Dad. So...I'm partial. Weeee!

I went with the Iron Man. If it wasn't that one I'd say his match vs Austin at Mania. But all of his matches were great especially that list. His match against Austin at Survivor Series 96' is highly over looked for some reason. I know a guy that is a die hard Bret Hart fan and it took me a long time to convince him such a match even took place. If you haven't seen it, check it out.

It was the best match of the two and an excellent match that I never really hear talked about. Anyway, I gotta go with the Iron Man and second fav to that because I was 3rd row ringside was Summerslam 97 against Taker.

yeah i went with wm 13. just something about that match for me. ss 92, wm 8, also great and i still watch them sometimes. i also liked the match vs. flair when he won the title and there was a time as a kid that i could recreate that match move for move with my figures.

I'd say his match with Mr. Perfect at SummerSlam '91. It was a classic. You rarely see a match that good these days, I'll say that much.

I voted for Summerslam '91. I'm biased toward Mr. Perfect because he's my favorite wrestler of all time, but that is a really good match. But the match with Austin when Austin wouldn't give up, and the Iron Man match are close behind. As is the KotR '93 match with Mr. Perfect. That was a GREAT rematch between the two.

Best would be his match with Bulldog at SummerSlam '92.
Second would be his match with Owen at WrestleMania X.
