Well as some of you know I am not a believer in god, and have no faith in him what so ever. Also I look at the bible as utter bull shit, but am going to go to church with my mom. Simply to ask a few questions and such to one of the preachers about all the things I find to make God look like Adolf Hitler.
So to make this topic not be pointless have you ever tried something like this, or anything else in the nature?

I wouldnt bother with things like that, there are too many people who I believe have been brainwashed from a young age, to them you are insane even though it may be the other way round.
I personally wont tell anyone not to believe in their religion because some people need to have mental support so I respect it but I am not blinded by it like other are.
But overall when I think about where alot of religion originated I see that it was to control people, especially things like curcumsision which I am horrified that some people find it normal to do that to their baby son, read into the origins of that.

Do you mean when he made the flood? if so, back than he world was even worse than today, people were "doing" animals, and everything was wrong with the world. Imagine if everything right with the world now was gone and that is what is was like back than. I respect your opinion, I am not trying to force a religion on your bro, but you might wanna o into it open minded. |

I went to church with my mom when I was younger. I basically thought it was the most utter and total bullcrapand could and still truley do see the brainwashed type of people that you are talking about. She got so amd at me when I wouldn't sing and wouldn't participate in all the stupid crapthat they do there.
One time I recall having to go up to the alter and drink whine and eat bread. I flat out refused and denounced my belief infront of the Pastor. My mom proclaimed how ashamed she was of me and I could care less. To me it's no different than any other fiction book out there. Star Wars has more relevance to me than Religion.

I do currently hold the belief that the Bible is the world's greatest selling novel of all time, I refuse to capitalise "god" unless it's in the title of something, and instead of saying "god" in phrases like "for the love of god", I say Henry Rollins. If there was a god, it would be Henry Rollins. I also find myself making a fair amount of jokes that are insensitive to Christians.
