Final Resolution: 34,000 (Angle-Joe + Christian-Sting-Abyss) Against All Odds: 23,000 (Christian-Angle) Destination X: 36,000 (Christian-Joe) Lockdown: 35,000 (Team Angle-Team Cage) Sacrifice: 21,000 (Angle-Sting-Christian) Slammiversary: 22,000 (KOTM match) Victory Road: 15,000 (Angle & Joe-Team 3D) Hard Justice: 26,000 (Angle-Joe) No Surrender: 17,000 (3 Angle matches including Angle-Abyss) Bound For Glory: 36,000 (Joe-Christian + Sting-Angle) Genesis: 27,000 (Angle & Nash-Sting & Booker) Turning Point 2006: 35,000 (Joe-Angle)
The last PPV which was TP 06 is because 07 wasn't released yet. In my opinion this is really bad news. I thought BFG would do at least 50,000 since it's the biggest show of the year and it had a main event with two big names from the past. And two shows doing below 20,000 is really pathetic. I saw about half of these shows so seeing lousy results like this is kind of degrading. I really don't know what'll make these buyrates go up other than amazing TV shows.

So 36,000 people ordered Bound for Glory? Not sure on how buyrates work out It means 36,000 people households ordered Bound For Glory. Which by my guess means about 50,000 actually saw the PPV because there could be multiple people in one house watching the show. But only 36,000 purchases of the show were made, which isn't very good for the "Wrestlemania" of TNA.

Someone needs to explain to me how TNA turned profit, "supposedly" as the only source seems to be the person themself on here...

A few things I notice:
- TNA does way, way too many multi-man main events.
- PPV's that have singles matches in the main event generally have higher buyrates... probably because man a vs. man b feuds are focused and are easier to build.
- The PPVs with the lowest buyrates had main events with horrible build up. No Surrender's build was all about Kurt Angle, and put little to no emphasis on his three opponents (Lethal, Pacman, Abyss.) Angle/Joe vs. 3D was a pointless champions only match that recieved little to no build and was painfully predictable.
... let's hope TNA pulls the same patterns out of these numbers and learns from them for the new year. Specifically... that 1) build up is key, and 2) simplicity isn't always, and in TNA's case is rarely, the enemy.

Those figures are awful for TNA. How are they still functioning?! Baffles me.

I would take it these buy rates are for the US only.... Seeing as TNA PPV's are free in the United Kingdom.

Victory Road: 15,000 (Angle & Joe-Team 3D) No Surrender: 17,000 (3 Angle matches including Angle-Abyss) Now, Mr. Russo, what have we learned?

Out of interest has anyone got the WWE PPV buyrates for same time period? I presume it's safe to assume that Vince has quite seriously kicked some serious ass here.
Didn't Hatton/Mayweather do about 750,000 & the average uFC gets at least 300,000! How is TNA surviving with such low buyrates? I know it has it's problems but i just presumed they were doing considerably better than this, DAMN!

This doesn't have anything to do with TNA, but who usually does higher buyrates, WWE or UFC?

Someone needs to explain to me how TNA turned profit, "supposedly" as the only source seems to be the person themself on here... There is no way in hell TNA turned a profit for 2007. 9/10 companies take losses the first 5 years of operation and would not show a profit for tax purposes only.

Victory Road's buy rate isn't too unbelievable.
Did anyone truly believe 3D had a shot at winning the World Heavyweight & X-Division championships?
