TNA is the closest thing to WCW as you're gonna get? When i first started watching TNA is was like back in the day with WCW loving every minute of wrestling and very "little" backstage bull crap. Now that they have gone televised they have gotten a little more WWEish which sucks. Is it me or are you nervous TNA might go down like WCW? And if you compared the 2 which would you pick? TNA or WCW?

You do know that WCW beat RAW 83 weeks in a row right?
I'd love for TNA to become like WCW...And WCW>TNA

Well, let's look at how WCW went down:
1. Hired Eric Bischoff 2. Had about a year and a half of awesome shows 3. Never knew when to change anything 4. Never gave the young guys a chance 5. Hired Russo 6. Pinata on a poll match 7. David Arquette as World Champion 8. Rest in peace WCW
Now lets take a look at TNA 1. Had about half a year of absolute bullcrap with a little bit of amazing wrestling matches 2. Hired Russo 3. Tried to relive the angle that made WCW hit it huge 4. Gave up on SEX, had a year or two of great shows 5. Got on TV 6. Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Jeff Hardy, and Diamond Dallas Page 7. Had mediocre shows for a while, fired Russo 8. Had four months of outstanding shows 9. Christian Cage, Sting, The Dudley Boys, and Kurt Angle arrive 10. Russo is rehired 11. Reverse battle royal 12. Doomsday Chamber of Blood 13. Last Rights Match 14. Black Reign 15. Booker T, Test, Matt Morgan, Joey Mercury, Rikishi, Johnny Stambolli show up 16. Kurt Angle wins every single title 17. Team Pacman 18. AJ Styles wears a reigndeer costume
... things don't look good. WCW sucked by the way.

The difference is WCW was #1, and TNA isn't and most likely will never be. I truly believe TNA's roster has the potential to put out a product better than WWE, WCW, ECW, and even ROH... but as it stands, while WCW made an impact on mainstream pro wrestling, TNA is merely apart of it... a promotion traipsing in the footsteps of WWE and WCW yet failing to forge it's own unique footprint.

That's very ironic, considering I've heard that TNA's 2007 PPV buyrates were very similar to WCW's last few buyrates.

Anyone who says TNA is better then WCW is nuts. Sure maybe the last few years but even back in the day WCW1995-1998 > Any wrestling company including ECW. They had awesome, AWESOME undercard matches. The Main Event storylines with the nWo were very good. The only drawbacks were they were not making any new stars with the exception of Goldberg and Booker T. And the Mian Events were medicore at best. But the undercard sure as hell made up for it. TNA use to remind me of WCW back in 03-05 but they quickly became worse. WCW's Cruiserweight Division was alot better then the X-Division we see now!
