I'm surprised no one mentioned Bats dropping Maroni off the roof?! If there was ever a scene that summed up the god damn Batman's character perfectly, it's that one.
Ruthless, breaking his bones like that..

I'm still not entirely convinced that Two Face is dead, to the public of Gotham Harvey Dent is dead, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Two Face is gone, he could be inside some kind of mental facility.

Did anyone else possibly overanalyze this particular scene?
Lucious and Bruce are discussing the new suit and Bruce asks if it works well against dogs. Lucious responds and says something along the lines of "Well it works well against cats"?
Could that be a hint at a Catwoman appearance in a future installment? I don't think Catwoman could be taken all that serious in one of these films considering the Catwoman movie that was released a few years ago. But I have no doubt that if anyone could make it work it would be the folks behind these films.

Speaking of the end there with Joker.. was I the only one reminded of Batman '89 when he started falling? It was almost like they teased that The Joker was going to die for the second time in the exact same way before Batman saved him. I know it probably wasn't intentional, but I kind of laughed to myself thinking that. I thought that too, actually, when I saw it. I do think it was a little homage to the '89 Batman. I've gotta say, when he said something along the lines of, "I can see you and I fighting this way forever," it damn near broke my heart.

Or at least a scene designed to make us kind of go uhhhhhhhhh until Batman caught him and pulled him back up.

I don't doubt Nolans ability to make me love every character he puts on screen for these films. So we will see I guess.

I knew Gordon wasn't dead. Simply because he wasn't Commish yet. The reaction in the theater was awesome though. Hopefully I can see it in Imax. Ledger's performance was amazing. My gf who isn't a big movie fan, let alone a batman fan, said it was one of the best movies she has seen. She loved the Joker. Him in the nurses suit was golden. Especially when he was frustrated pressing the button. I loved how he had paint on his hand in the hospital with Dent from where he had just painted his face. Little things like that made it even better. It became real. It makes you forget you are watching an actor. It was the Joker perfectly. When I did think about the fact that I wouldn't see him do this again it made me pretty upset. I am just glad that this movie was a great as I thought it would be.

The Joker had an extra remote to blow both boats up, but Batman struck him in the face with his arm "ammo" before he could get a chance. But when he was holding Batman down and saying "You'll miss the fireworks.........and here........we..........go!" and nothing exploded it made me think there was a timer or something. I don't understand it He thought that the people would kill each other. That is what he was relying on. When he didn't he was going to do it himself, which Batman prevented.

It was great, but not the best movie ever. I have some problems with it, but I'll leave it at that.
And no one should be nominated for any Academy Awards for their performances. They were good, but not that good.

I don't understand it It was never timed to go off. He was out to prove that everyone was as ruthless as him. It's what Batman was saying, "You think everyone is like you", or something. Saying there was a timer was just his way of causing panic and, in his mind, a guarantee that one of the boats would decide to flip the switch. That's the way I took it anyway.

There a couple of pieces of technology that were very scoff worthy.
Finding the thumb print on the bullet that was busted into tiny shards in the concrete, and the whole sonar imaging technology that he used to find the Joker.
Nolan's films work well because how realistic they feel, but those two things really took me out of that world for a moment, they weren't necessary.

Well, can't be 100% realistic after all it is a super hero movie not a cop drama

The scene were the Joker is in the nurses outfit reminded me of a scene in one of the Nightmare on Elm Street flicks when Freddy does something similar.

Nolan's films work well because how realistic they feel, but those two things really took me out of that world for a moment, they weren't necessary. I actually loved it. I was thinking the same like that, but then I thought, why question it? Sure, it's a realistic take on Batman, but it stays true to the comics by having all of this technology that Bruce Wayne has access to that you never question in the comic books, no matter how far-fetched it may be. I thought the same thing with how easily Joker could be one, two, or three steps ahead of the GPD with his plans. It's a realistic approach to the movies, but it still has the basic fantasy elements of the comic books that still make it a comic book adaptation. It's far-fetched sometimes, but it's just plain fun to watch.
