So what's next for the 2nd best pound for pound fighter in the world? He said he'll be defending the MW Belt, but who against. I can't really see no one at 185 beating him. I'm interested in Wanderlei vs. Anderson sometime in the future.

Sorry, but with the lack of fights and talent up until beating Sylvia...and the people Silva has literally DOMINATED in the past year +, Fedor has dropped to number 2.

Anderson proved tonight that pound for pound he is the best fighter in the world moving up in weight and destroying a guy who was so thought of he was going to be Liddels replacement in the fight againist Evans. I could see Anderson holding both the 185 and 205 title by this time next year if he wants to do that.

Oh boy.
Caution here, folks. Let's not turn this into a Sherdog-like war and fill 57+ pages of people throwing flames at each other and acting elitist.
Let's agree to disagree on who's #1 P4P before a flame war breaks out.
I'm not saying this because I'm a mod (though you should all RESPECT MAH AUTHORITAY), but because I hate seeing pointless flame wars.
Both Anderson and Fedor rawk hard. Who is better comes down to personal opinion because both are so close in their levels of awesomeitude.
That's the way it goes until either suffers a clear loss. Which probably won't happen for either.
Now, to answer the question: now that Okami/Silva is off the table, I assume a replacement will be made known in the next couple of days, probably a week or so tops. Who against I really don't know, but it won't matter. Whoever it is has their work cut out for them.

I bet you anything that I've been an MMA fan for longer than you. I hate that all you guys jump on the MMA bandwagon here in the last year or so, wearing all your TapouT shirts and thinking your tough. How dare you take away my Karma!

"I'm more of an MMA fan than you" arguments are just as pointless as "Who's #1 P4P" arguments. Don't make me plant the "Don't Feed the Troll" sign, nyah.

Did you guys not watch Pride FC? The last time Fedor beat a real fighter, prior to tonight, was 15 months ago. Before that, his biggest win was probably Cro Cop...and that was what, 2005? Come on. Since 2006, Anderson Silva has dominated an entire division with ease. Leben, Franklin (x2), Marquardt, Hendo, Lutter. And it was pure dominance. And now he dominated a decent fighter, in 1 minute after moving up a class. When you don't take fights, and fight nobodies for 2 years, while the other guy on your tail is fighting some of the best fighters his weight class has to offer, you lose your rank. Fedor beating Sylvia is a nice step, but he needs to A. Fight more and B. Fight some better competition.

Great assumption, way to show your ignorance. You basically just lost all credability with me.

This just sounds like a post from a guy that did get into mma in the last year or so and just doesn't want anyone to know it.

I know I was watching UFC the year you were born. Silva and Fedor are both awesome, but Anderson has been the far more dominant fighter recently. If Fedor has a couple more showings like tonight against name competition, I am sure he will retake #1 Stop being a Pride mark, and enjoy the fact that the sport we love is finally becoming more available to us....or like I said....go back to Sherdog.

Lutter was a great test for Anderson Silva. His BJJ is amazing, and it finally proved to everyone that Silva could withstand Lutters ground game, but also WORK on the ground himself. That was Silvas first real showing that he wasn't JUST a Muay Thai fighter and wasn't just one dimensional. While Leben isn't a top of the crop MW, he is a decent test and takes the fight to people. Not to mention, Leben has a VERY solid chin and Anderson knocked him out COLD. I don't care what way you look at it, or how much a person dislikes Leben...knocking him out with ease is impressive.

I'd put Anderson p4P no.1 Yes Fedor looked great but was his first big challenge. Anderson meanwhile dominated 185 King Rich twice, Lutter, Hendo and Marquardt. All fantastic fighters

My brother has trained to be a professional mixed martial artist my entire life. We lived in Oswego New York, (you'd know thats one of the biggest wrestling cities in the country if you had any intelligence) just so he could go to college up there to wrestle. Ive also gone to JG academy since 2005. And I also know that churchy aand Patrick bateman also go to different mma academies. Both of whom were probably watching MMA when you were swimming around in your dad's nut sack.
