TNA Impact (2)TNA Impact kicks off as usual with fireworks and the announcers welcoming us to the show. They are cut off much like last week by Samoa Joe dressed slightly different but still with the title over one shoulder and a mic in his hand.
Joe: So Cornette you set me a challenge last week and I sailed straight though it. As I don’t have any planned matches until Bound for Glory does this mean your going soft on me Corney?
Jim Cornette storms out.
Cornette: Joe you don’t want to anger me, I have the power to make your life a living hell!
Joe: Jim I stride on competition and last week made me realize it so can do whatever the hell I like cause you’ll keep lining up the matches and I’ll keep knocking them down. Jim do your worst.
Cornette: I get it, ok Joe you got it next week Samoa Joe will face off against a man who also hasn’t wrestled on Impact for quite some time. Christopher Daneils! Yes that’s right the TNA World Champion against the TNA X Divsion Champion next week on Impact. And I expect you two still have some bad blood.
Joe nods and leaves. I look over to Shelley and Sabin and notice there’re not in wrestling attire.
London: Dude what you doing?
Sabin: We haven’t got a match tonight just got to do a promo
London: Better not wear that shirt
Sabin looks down at his banned X-Division t-shirt which got TNA in trouble with WWE. I remember Kendrick and I buying those to work one day, damn Vince was pissed.
Sabin: Why?
London: Never mind
Shelley: Hey havn’t you got a promo tonight also?
London: Oh crapI forgot about that
As I run over to check my promo Jay Lethal, Alex Koslov and Austin Creed are going at it in the ring.
Match 1: Jay Lethal defeats Austin Creed and Alex KoslovA good triple threat by these three, you really can’t go wrong sticking some X Divsioners in a match. Koslov dominated most of the match but then Creed used some power moves to take control before Lethal jumps in with a Lethal Combination on Creed for the win.
Lethal celebrates and makes his way to the back followed by his opponents straight away, Checkmate make their way down the ramp in their Impact in-ring debut. Beer Money then comes out laughing at the weak challenge they were set.
Match 2: Checkmate (Lionel Knight & Shawn Bishop) defeats Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm)A true underdog match, Beer Money isolated Knight for most of the match before making the hot tag to Knight who hit some highflying moves but it showed that he’s keeping it down after coming back from a life threatening injury. Knight tagged back out as Bishop finished off Beer Money with a imploding 450 splash onto both members for a big upset win.
I hear some foot steps behind me before I here a voice.
Rave: Hey sorry dude about the nose last week how you feeling
London: Don’t worry about it
Ass hole breaking my nose but I can’t say that cause I might have to take time off
Rave: You cool about our match tonight
London: Yeah, see you out there then
I see Hemme walk by in a nice short dress and a even nicer short top showing off her two lovely…
Hemme: Hey Paul
London: Ugh hey
Hemme: Are you fine about this whole love angle?
London: Ughh yeah yeah, you fine ugh with it?
Hemme: Yeah I actually look forward to it
Hemme walks away after a nice little wink while shaking her uhh ‘thing.’ Jimmy (Rave) makes his way out to the ring as I stand in the wings I touch my nose Chocolate Shark it’s still bleeding! I grab a tissues from the table and shove it up my nose and make my way though the entrance.
Match 3: Paul London defeats Jimmy RaveStated off as a great match with us exchanging hold and me hitting a awesome backbreaker powerslam but it all went downhill as Rave punched me in the nose. The tissue came flying out along with gallons of blood as I hit the floor. Rave looks a bit shocked but tries to stay in character. Rave goes to pick me up until I chuck him to the outside after a little break I hit a basic jump over the top rope. As I shove Rave back in the ring and hit a few quick moves I hit the London Star Press for the win.
As the blood spews out of my nose I make my way to the back were the medic gives the ok although I know from a real doctor it’s freaking broken! I clear my nose up and hold my nose I look over and see Sabin and Shelley in the interview set.
Interviewer: Hello I’m backstage with Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin the Motor City Machine Gunz. At No Surrender you two became the no.1 contenders to the tag team titles at Bound for Glory how does that feel?
Sabin: How does it feel? It feels great! Not only are we going to win the tag titles but we’re going to win the tag titles at the big show, Bound for Glory.
Then Homicide, Hermandez and Salinas, LAX come past.
Homicide: You think your gonna win the titles of us? You an’t got no chance! Come Bound for Glory yo asses is mine.
LAX and MCMG come face to face then the light goes off interacting we’re off air
Shelley: Dude you busted you nose again
Sabin: Yeah man it looks totally busted up
London: Don’t worry about it, its nothing (although I know its broken and is hurting bad)
Back in the ring the No.1 Contendership match for the Knockout’s title for Bound for Glory was underway with the newly named Mr. Kip at ringside.
Match 4: Angelina Love defeats Velvet Sky, ODB & Cheerleader MelissaODB looked like a beast out there out powering all the opponents and completely destroying them that was until Mr. Kip slid in and kicked her head into the 2nd row with a bicycle kick. While ODB was down Love sneaked in for the win.
Kip: Another loser down, bag her girls!
Sky pulls the bag over Melissa’s head once again and then leave while officials and staff rushed to ODB’s aid as she looked unconscious. Melissa followed the stretcher to the back.
I walked over to a backstage set were I stood with Simon Diamond (yeah he’s a road agent now) and waited until Rave walked by.
Rave: Hey! I need to talk to you London
London: What about?
Rave: Whatta mean it’s obvious! You can’t beat me.
London: What are you on about Rave I pinned you tonight?
Rave: Yeah, I mean fairly
London: What? I did
Rave: You didn’t beat me!
Rave starts acting like a little kid after you beat them on a game (ever try it? It’s fun)
London: Look Rave the whole world saw I beat you, fair and square
Rave: Oh yeah well check this
Rave walks to a tv screen were he plays the end of out match. I follow but confused. Rave suddenly pauses the tv.
Rave: Look there!
London: I don’t see anything
Rave: Have a look closer!
Rave slams my face into the tv knocking it off the table. I land on the table and Rave starts to punch away, Simon Diamond runs in and tries to pull him off but to no avail until a slap to the face by…Christy Hemme?
Hemme: Stop it!
Rave: What the?
Rave looks at his manager in a confused state before storming off. While Hemme and Simon attend to me.
As I get off the table and wipe some blood away from my nose I notice Rhino in the ring and Petey Williams making his way down the ramp.
Match 5: Rhino defeats Petey WilliamsRhino dominated for most of the match but after a basement dropkick from Williams, Petey started on the attack. As Petey went for his trademark jump over the top hurricanrana Rhino slammed him down in a powerbomb. After this everyone knew that it wasn’t long before Petey felt the GORE, GORE, GORE!
Rhino went to get the mic to talk about his attack last week by Sting but the lights went off and Sting was standing tall over a knocked out Rhino with Steiner next to him.
Sting: Why Sting why? Is that all you people say anymore because that’s all I’ve been hearing over the past week. Why did I attack Rhino and Abyss because I knew a old friend (looks at Steiner) was in some need. So I helped. And what was that challenge to the monsters ball, well Scott (Steiner) accepts and so does Sting!
Abyss runs down and scares them off while he checks on Rhino. Now at Bound for Glory it will be Abyss vs. Rhino vs. Scott Steiner vs. Sting in a Monsters Ball Match!
Backstage ‘The Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels is standing backstage with a stand in front of him. He looks like he is giving a sermon but only Daniels is shown.
Daniels: My people, the time has come. The Angel has returned to his preachers and will continue to spite upon the pain and agony of a thousand voices, but this is all threatened. Next week I have to face my long time rival, Samoa Joe and then at Bound for Glory I have to face… Whomever wins the Ultimate X Gauntlet and who ever winneth that match-up will face I and will strike upon them a vengeance never seen before and that is the Gospel according to Christopher Daniels.
Daniels closes the book in front of him and holds his hand up in usual fashion. Back in the ring Kurt Angle and Booker T look to get more points in the Bound for Gold Tournament.
Main Event: Kurt Angle defeats Booker TA nice old school match-up seemed like we were back in WWE with these two going at each other. The crowd got behind Angle surprisingly and tried to get behind him but Angle still played heel. Angle got the win when he made Booker tap out to the Ankle Lock.
Angle celebrated and motioned for the title as TNA Impact went off the air.
