According to LOP
-- 13 UFC fighters who fought at last weekend's UFC Fight Night 14 were given medical suspensions by the Nevada State Athletic Commission and were deemed unable to perform for at least a month. Oddly enough, the 3 worst injuries (and longest suspensions) were suffered by guys who won their fights. Cain Velasquez (possible meniscus/ligament tear in left knee), Tim Credeur (right-knee injury) and Brad Blackburn (broken left thumb) will all be out until January.
-- Speaking of injuries, former welterweight champion Matt Hughes has updated his official blog with an update on the knee injury he sustained in his technical knockout loss to Thiago Alves at UFC 85: “Bedlam” last month. Hughes, who passed on surgery in favor of letting the injury heal by itself, said: “Went to the doctor yesterday, he performed quite a few tests on my knee. With the results of the tests on my knee and from what I have told him, he definitely thinks the MCL and the PCL is rebuilding itself. The next time I go back up there, in a month to a month and a half, I will get an MRI and that way he can get a picture of the knee and he can see better what’s going on. So right now, I’m going to work out lightly, try and build up my quadricep as much as I can. Do nothing with the hamstring really, from what he said and he says possibly being able to fight in 6-7 months.”
-- Randy Couture tells FOXSports.com that he still plans to fight Fedor Emelianenko and that he'd do it under the UFC banner: “When, where and with what promotion — we don’t know. It could happen in UFC. We just don’t know. I want it to happen. Fedor wants it to happen. In some way, shape or form, we’re going to make it happen.” UFC President Dana White has already said publicly that he wants Randy back and would sign Fedor just to make the fight happen.

Dana...you had your chance.
I want to see someone just stick it to him (ahem cough AFFLICTION ahem cough cough) and set up the fight that Dana's ego didn't allow.

Dana White is all talk.
After Fedor didn't sign his shitty contract offer, White publicly said, "Fedor isn't even a top-10 heavyweight."
Yeah, that sounds like the kind of guy I'd want to be negotiating with...

I just don't care where the event, I've no affection for any group I just want to see the fight. However I think that Randy has a lot more chance against fedor in the octagon.

I don;t want UFC to get this fight. BUT. If that is the only way it is going to happen than that is fine. But from what people have said around here Couture only has to wait until October and he is a free agent. And can (and will) recieve any payday he wishes. But I see this at the most a co brand product otherwise just Affliction not just a straight UFC fight. Affliction is paying both men very well for their shirts.

Dana, Dana, Dana.... The guy is so two faced its ridiculous. He cant get Fedor to be dumb enough to sign a ing 'piece o' shit' contract, so he turns and bad mouths Fedor, saying he hasnt had any real competition. Then he decides he wants Fedor after he sees that theres more than just your typical UFC fanboy in the U.S and theres actually ALOT of Fedor fans in the states..... Karma imo.

Aside from helping champion MMA into the mainstream and all that stuff, Dana White is at heart...a giant fanboy jackass.
Whoever he likes is "DA BEST EVAH" and whoever he dislikes "Isn't a top fighter".
He's just got the money to make those opinions mean something.
Plus, in the end, Affliction says they're lasting three shows. For October, they're looking for Fedor/Arlovski.
I would seriously bet money that after Fedor murders Arlovski (mass props to Arlovski for taking out my personal dark horse favorite Ben Rothwell, but Fedor is Fedor and Fedor shall murder), Couture and Fedor get into a staredown while Tom Atencio announces that Affliction's "final" show (they've only planned three) will feature Fedor/Couture.

I agree, Affliction may just decide to stick in for the long haul if stuff works out. Which I would love, of course.
I'm just saying, the timing seems incredibly perfect given that Couture's non-compete clause expires in October. Affliction is booking a card in October headlined by Fedor/Arlovski. Win or lose, I see Fedor and Randy getting into a staredown post-fight, leading up to an announcement that Fedor/Couture is signed for the third show.

Oh lord....
Don't make me plant the "Don't Feed the Trolls" sign, nyah.
That said, "by rape" may be going a bit too far, but when you dominate a guy like Tim Sylvia in under 40 seconds, you have to wonder how long Arlovski will last.
Remember, Arlovski has only recently gotten back to his dominating ways (his last two fights). This is the guy that flat-out apologized to a crowd for fighting such a bad fight, remember.
Fedor's a monster, plain and simple. Arlovski has a chance, but then again, any fighter in any MMA fight has a chance. But I just can't see Arlovski ending Fedor's dynasty without some incredibly miracle.
And if Fedor's fights prove anything, even incredible miracles won't keep you from tapping or getting KTFO.
