The Gran Prix was timed as nearly 1 full hour, so it’ll surely be cut up for TV. Johnny Devine did indeed wrestle instead of Chris Daniels (who I think may be in San Diego for the ComicCon right now, but I don’t remember.) Order of elimination, via SuperLuchas: 1) Alex Koslov (via Rey Bucanero - REY OWNS ALEX) 2) Averno (via Sonjay Dutt) 3) Volador Jr. (via Jay Lethal) 4) Rey Bucanero (via AJ Styles - note the run of Mexico eliminations) 5) Sonjay Dutt (via Garza) 6) AJ Styles (via UG, and a low blow) 7) Dos Caras Jr. (via Corelone - HMMMMM) Jay Lethal (via Dr. Wagner) 9) Johnny Devine (via Shocker) 10) Hector Garza (via Corelone) 11) Dr. Wagner Jr. (via Sabin & Shelley double superkick) 12) Marco Corelone (via Shocker & UG after a failed Air Italia)
At this point, they’re down to Alex Shelly & Chris Sabin vs the unlikely duo of Shocker & Ultimo Guerrero
13) Shocker (via Sabin & Shelley double superkick) 14) Chris Sabin (via Ultimo Guerrero)
Shelley survived the middle rope powerbomb, and reversed the Guerrero Special into a shiranu, but neither man could get teh three count. Shelley put on one of his submission moves - the Border City Stretch? - yanking off UG’s mask in the process. Ultimo gave up, and Alex Shelley became the first foreign winner of the tournament since Steel in 1997.
Ultimo challenged Alex to a mask vs hair match. Alex deffered a response until he had more time to think about it and relax. TNA tapes this week, so if they’ve got any plans for following up on any of this, it’ll come out then. At the least, the Motor City Machine Guns would seem to be the obvious opponents for UG & Rey when they work those two TNA spot shows.

Just finished part 2 of the match, the TNA guys really step up their game against the luchadores. They were doing quite a bit of stuff that they don't even do in TNA. What I guess I'm saying is, can CMLL book TNA?

I don't think it's bullcrapif it help's the company. TNA needed to send someone to CMLL that would see as a big TNA guy as to not just send them lower guys. Sucks for you because he wasn't at the house show, but there will be more chances. Watch that match though, it's good. It's much better than most matches TNA puts on. Jay Lethal seemed more like Jay Lethal and not Black Machismo. It's good.

It might help their relationship with CMLL but why screw over the fans that paid to see YOUR sow by having one of your most over guys booked in Mexico? In my eyes it helped CMLL more than TNA.. Did you see other big name stars? If so stop bitching.

TNA should be letting CMLL book over, great workers. CMLL gave TNA Volador Jr, Rey Bucanero, Ultimo Guerrero, and Averno. When they could've given TNA Villanos IV and V and two luchas that no one cares about. But they didn't, so it's a fair exchange. Did TNA get Mistico and Perro Aguayo Jr? No. So TNA didn't send Kurt Angle and Joe. It was an exchange simply of talent of the same caliber. If it was let's say Shark Boy or Curry Man instead of AJ at the CMLL Grand Prix, wouldn't leave a great impression on CMLL. You have to remember TNA is trying to EXPAND. I'll admit I'd hate seeing a TNA house show with no AJ or MCMGs, I would be as pissed as you. But I would also understand that this is what TNA has to do to expand in the world. If they can get CMLL to help them, it's good. CMLL can survive without TNA. The same can't be said for TNA in MX.

Did you see other big name stars? If so stop bitching. It's not the fact that I saw or didn't see "big names". It's the fact AJ Styles is one of my all time favorites and wanted to see him in person. Excuse me for bitching because I missed out on the chance to see one of my favorites again but I have the right to bitch just as much as you do. It's also funny here I was having a discussion with Seanzor and you come in here and tell me to stop bitching. You should be happy you even went to the show. People would kill to go to a show of TNA's. You've seen Styles before, you'll probably see him again. So shut your trap and get over it.

Lol.. great way to bring in discussion. News flash - I AM OVER IT. I was over it last night, I was just simply expressing my concern over the fact that TNA booked their talent on anoter promotions show te same night they had a show. So, shut your trap and get over my opinion. There is a difference in having an opinion and just plain bitching, like you're doing now. Like i said, you will see him again, it wasn't a pay per view nor a TV taping. Its hardly even important, its a houseshow.

TNA made money by CMLL booking those guys. Seems like good business to me from TNA's perspective.

it. Everyone's took what I said and twisted it up about 5 times. I'm sick and tired of having to defend my self every damn time I make a reply - It's my opinion weather you like or not so screw it. You never bitched about it BEFORE you didnt see your homophobe hero. So i don't see how we're "twisting" anything up.

They simply exchanged talent and this is not the only time TNA has had guys booked on the night of house shows. It helped TNA more than anything.

No...I don't "smell" you. You could use English to get your point across.
"He is homophobe."-He either hates or is afraid of gay people, is that what you're telling me?

This is about as significant as winning the Super 8.
And I don't mean that in a complimentary fashion.

As for the first bit i live in Australia and we barely ever get international talent. Atleast AJ is performing in your country regularly and if you wanna see him bad enough you can travel a few hours and either see him at a TNA Show or Indy Show (Not sure if he still works indys)
In Australia we get maybe 5-6 big internationals a year. A lower midcard Japanese guy got to Main Event.
Now really things could be worse atleast your favourites are in your country. Now really do you see me bitching about not being able to see my favourites? No because i'd be happy to see a guy like Angle or Joe in person.
As for discussion with Seanzor i'm not sure if you're trying to say the guy bitches alot but i'm not here often enough to know if he does or not and i really don't care.
You've deleted your posts in this thread so you've obviously realised you were acting like a spoilt child.

Something tells me you'll go to more TNA shows, and Styles will be there. Its not the end of the world you went and didn't get to see him.
Just sayin'
