MMAMANIA Mentally he wasn’t there. It was almost as if he was possessed. He heard voices. He thought he was a God…. He went very easy [with police]…. He would still make comments that were slightly weird [when he returned]…. You could tell that he wasn’t all the way there, but each day you could tell he was better.” – Josh Gross culls together comments from various anonymous “inside” sources regarding the condition of former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson after he was released from police custody following an arrest for hit and run and other charges. He was picked up by police the following day because of his bizarre behavior, which was detailed above in the quote mash. He has since appeared in public in small doses, which apparently goes against his lawyer’s advice. The good news is that the report indicates he intends to get back in the Octagon as soon as November … perhaps against Wanderlei Silva. Let’s just hope that’s not too much too soon. ============================================= Well at least he may be back in the ring in November

He must've done something to the guy. This sre as hell isnt like Rampage or anyone in the right state of mind.
Has anyone heard that Jackson has dropped Juanito as his trainer? Someone started a thread about it over at Sherdog.

NO WAY he fights Wandy in November. I think it'll be too soon for him to come back from this to fighting Wandy. If he does, we'll see Wandy KO him for a third time, IMO.

He did drop Jaunito.
Jaunito was interviewed, and he said "Somehow, some way, it comes down to money."

too soon for rampage to fight for sure. I would rather him get his sh** together than to see a shell of the former fighter that i have become a huge fan of. It'll be like Mike Tyson after all his drama and he came back to boxing and just wasn't the same

I too would rather him come back 100%, even if that means being out for an extended period of time

Well at least Rampage has finally dropped Juanito, he looked so one dimensional against a fighter like Forrest, whilst the Rampage who tore through Pride a few years ago would have destroyed him
I personally think that it is sick if Rampage returns to fighting any time this year. He needs to get away from fighting & totally focus on getting his head together rather than adding more pressure by fighting again, especially aghainst an aggressive fighter who appears to have his number.

I hope he did drop juanito. I forget who but doesn't jaunito train some other fighters who are rather one dimensional? I don't like the guy, Rampage deserves better coaches to train with. Does he still train in Irvine?

If Rampage were to come back in November and somehow beat Wandy. He would shoot right back to the title. Still IMO he should take a year off or at least ample time to get straightened out.

Rampage needs, bare minimum, a couple of months off to get his head straight and his heart back into the game.
That said, I'd find it incredibly pitiful and deeply saddening if a shell-of-his-former-self Rampage returned way before he was ready only to get a train ran over him by Wandy.
If/when Rampage comes back, I'd like to see at least one fight before Rampage/Wandy, just to make sure Rampage's heart is still in it.

Rampage is really screwed up right now, he REALLY needs to take some time off.

By no means is Rampage God, or Jesus for that matter.

I don't really care if he comes back or not, to be honest. After what he did, I can't look at him the same way ever again. He's a ing criminal now as far as I'm concerned and the image of him flat on the pavement getting arrested at gun-point is forever burned in my mind. When I think of Rampage, that's what will always come to mind. Sorry to say it, but it's true.
