Hi, I've not hugely into MMA, but I'm a graphic designer who was instructed to come up with a name for an MMA company out of Boston and make a logo. It can be a regular MMA-style name or a Boston-inspired name. I was thinkin something to do with "boneyard", but honestly, this has to be done right and sound great, so I'm coming to you guys for help. If you can think of a great name, I would be very appreciative!

...so a company doesn't have a name, and hired a graphic designer to come up with it? Yes, they're going to be huge, I can see it now.
aka - this isn't believable at all.

I'm pretty sure that's the first thing you learn in business 101. Have an idea, have a name.

As a designer myself, I've actually come across this kind of thing before. Especially for stuff like bands and things of that nature. Usually they're not just like "Hey, pick a name for us" -- but they would be willing to listen to ideas and such.

I've often designed things for companies but I've never had the "Hey, can you name my company" line come my way. They've given me freedom for logos, colors, etc...but they never asked me to make a name for them. And I certainly wouldn't ask people on a message board.
