As reported on Rajah.com on Aug. 7, TNA had a Knockout tag team match as its main event on the July 31 edition of “Impact” with a good result. The main event garnered a 1.18 rating which was the highest rated segment of the show. Usually, TNA loses viewers towards the end of their show, so this is seen as a success within the company.
With that been said. Do you think TNA will build on this? Sorry if been posted.

If you mean will there be more main events with 'em? Yes, but I duobt and hope it won't be an every week thing. It makes it more "special" when it's not an every week thing.

it also probably got attention because for once the show didn't end with kurt angle frank trigg and team 3D beating aj styles down.

ah dammit, How much of a shame is it that the knockouts do better than the rest of the show. that says something about your programming. I thought it was dumb to have a tag match as a ME...there was nothing on the line at all. that being said I guess we're in for more YIPPPEEEE . why dont they just fire all the guys, hire Big daddy v and officially change the name to T and A.

It's smart on TNA's part to include/have them in the main event, and those ratings clearly proves why.

Wrestling's a male dominated sport and for them (Knockouts) to out draw the men week in and week out it proves WF's theory of "Womens wrestling doesn't draw" as bullshit. Now, the excuse gonna be used is "It's just pervs flipping channels". I guess pervs don't flip through channels on Monday, Tuesday or Friday and they just flip on Thursday..

It's honestly because TNA's Knockout division gets more attention than WWE's. TNA has indy stars in their company, which helps attract Independent fans, and all the dirt sheet writers/Lance Storm have raved about how it's TNA's strong main point and how they hit the nail on the head every time. You know they do something right when their Knockout matches are 2nd best/MOTN on PPVs/Impacts.

^^OH BS...Ask any wrestling fan that's been watching wrestling in the past 5 years why they watch wrestling and I guarantee 95% say because of a male superstar. tna can slant numbers anyway they want to say they have an edge in a certain area while neglecting the part of the programm that the majority of their demographics is interested in. I'll admit TNA's knowckout division is good but the fact that it gets higher rating sthen the men is not so much a credit to the women as it is a knock against the tna booking committee.

How the hell is it a knock against the booking committee? The Knockout matches draw ratings, how hard is that to understand? I don't get what the big deal is. If it draws, it draws. Just because that is your opinion, doesn't mean every person who tunes in thinks that. The numbers don't lie, the Knockout's division is doing something right. Stop trying to bash TNA. This is a positive aspect for TNA, and you're trying to make it seem like utter bullshit.

I never said it wasnt a positive for TNA. the question is why is it that TNA can only book one aspect of thier show correctly to draw high ratings and not the rest of the show. that's what the numbers tell you. Peoplple are obviously tuning in to what they like, which begs the question, what a bout the rest of the show? You can rationalize that people like the women better, or that people wanna catch the main event, or that their's a bunch of pervs out there. the problem is the lack of consistency through the whole show...which IS a direct reflection on the booking committee which, Overall, Is more negative than positvie.

It's not always booking's fault though. Some people don't tune in for MCMG/Joe and others because they don't know who they are, usually why they lose ratings during some of their segments. Also another reason as to why Angle drew more ratings than Joe, it's about being known. Also, the main events usually lose ratings on shows, so this increasing ratings shows how regardless of what you wanna say, the Knockouts draw.

Awesome. I love the division, and think its really refreshing to see women who can wrestle, and who are treated as equals in the company.

Two knockout matches per show is enough... it's not as if TNA's fanbase will grow via single men channel surfing for some Buddy Whack-it. This demographic wants tits and ass... not TNA.

I would tend to agree that's where the majority of the interest is coming from. I find it hard to believe, regardless how well they wrestle, that fans are all of a sudden more interested in women's wrestling. Historically the trend does not hold.. Let me tell ya, when Salinas was on the other night, I watched the whole damn match...not becasue i was interested in some awesome technical wrestling or a superb storyline... I watched for two other reasons
