I watch UFC every now and then, but got more into it once Lesnar came. Tonight is the first time I'm going to see a PPV at a bar & grill. I assume the time starts at 8. Out of curiousity, what time does the main event usually start? And at first I thought the Lesnar match was the main event, but I'm guessing it'll be second to last with St. Pierre as the main event?

Correct GSP vs. Fitch will be Main Event. I'm central time so the UFC PPV's always start at 9 here. It usually depends on how fast the fights end to tell when the main event will start.

Well, if you're in the east, then the show doesn't start until 10pm. The main event, in this case GSP/Fitch, would go on a little after 12.

Pretty much. If it goes on at 10 p.m. ET, that's 7 p.m. Pacific, which is about as close at they can get to airing a live show at a time when both coasts can watch it live, without it coming on during dinner time out west, or without it ending at 3 a.m. in the east.

Time zones are definitely a bitch when there's a two/three hour difference from when the event starts in one specific time zone and what the time is locally in your time zone.
Time zones have always been damn confusing to me.

PPVs start here at 9, local time. The main event will begin around 11, maybe 11:10 depending on other fights. They will throw in dark fights to fil lthe time, but they need to last until 11:30-11:45 to fill their time.

Half the audience will still be shaking off Friday's night's hangover at that time.

More like shaking off Tuesday's bad blow, Wednesday's kneecap-bashing, Thursday's hangover, and Friday's prostitute spree.
