It was a typical Charity Shield game - crap.

Went to penaltys before Man United won... Portsmouth's 4 penaltys were possibly the 4 worse penaltys I've ever seen in a shootout, 2 over, 1 straight at the keeper and Defoe's goal was so close to being saved

Grats Man United for winning a relatively pointless shield.
