 It looks pretty cold in the background city of that pic, which I find strangely fitting since it'll be a cold day in hell when Cote beats Silva. |

Well......they better add at least 2 or 3 really strong matchups to this card or the ppv buys will be down.Who's going dish out money to see Silva/Irvin II.
Thiago/Sanchez should be good but they need more.Alot more to make up for the mismatch main event.

Not an awful card, but not the best the UFC has produced.

I think the card looks fine. Match up wise some might be some what lop-sided, but there is still some strong names on the card. Sherk/Griffin is the one I'm looking foward to the most. I can't wait to get tickets.

Surely this event isn't going to be called Silva vs Cote, Cote isn't worthy enough of having his name in a UFC event subtitle.

I feel as though Silva should just drop the title and go to LHW. He will have more success there if he were a champion because it is a division full of strikers...whereas the middleweight division doesn't have many strong strikers besides Rich Franklin (who is moving up to LHW)
But it should be a quick night for Silva. Cote is not ready for this.
How is Melvin Guillard still in the UFC? I mean I like the guy but I stopped paying attention to him after his Stevenson loss.
Sanchez and Silva will be a good fight. But I think sanchez will be handed his third loss. We will see though.
I can't wait.

ZUFFA should drop him down to the WEC and have him fight guys like Hicks, Varner, Cerone Razor, etc. Or even drop him to 145 and fight Pulver, Garcia, Curran, Brown, Faber. I hear Din Thomas recently dropped back to 145. Guillard vs Thomas could be a good fight. |

Oh I get what you mean I wasn't saying he wasn't worthy of a title shot. I was implying that usually when a UFC PPV has a subtitle with the match name in it, it's a highly anticipated match or rematch with 2 big time stars. This is not that type of match, hence what I was saying about Cote. |
