I was looking at the TNA roster and noticed that there aren't as many X-Division guys left. When I placed them in where they actually rank on the card I realized that there are only two legitimate competitors in the X-Division (one of which only recently began being considered an X-Division wrestler).
Main Event: AJ Styles Samoa Joe
Upper Midcard: Frankie Kazarian
Tag Team: Alex Shelley Chris Sabin Senshi Elix Skipper
X-Divison Jobbers: Petey Williams Shark Boy Sonjay Dutt
Actual X-Title Picture: Jay Lethal Johnny Devine
It's too bad that something that used to be the best part about American wrestling is dead. What a stupid time to pretend to fire Christopher Daniels.

The X-division could be great if TNA bothered to focus on it, but TNA has an overwhelming urge to tie up at least one belt at a time for the sake of a craptastic storyline... leaving guys in that belt's division with nothing to do.

Remember when that belt was the X-Division title, and the storyline wasn't craptastic..and we had Joe/Styles/Daniels... I Do..

Daniels should be right with Styles and Joe in the main event. But he's just another ball that TNA has dropped.

They aren't focusing on it because the X Division belt became bigger than their world title.
2005 was the year of the X division. I remember the X-Division Title main eventing Unbreakable with Joe/Styles/Daniels. That match was the 2005 Match of the Year, or if it wasn't, it was in the top 2. We had some great stuff in 2005 with the Petey/Styles/Sabin Ultimate X, the 2 Iron Man's with Styles/Daniels, the Super X Cup, and Joe's title win.
That stuff is remembered more than the world title matches. Take Against All Odds for example. Do you remember the JJ/Nash match, or do you remember the Iron Man more? Final Resolution 2005. Do you remember the Ultimate X or JJ/Monty match more?
The reason they aren't doing anything with it is because it overshadowed the world title.

With all this being said, I have still been enjoying 3D vs. the X Division.

Everyone always forgets Eric Young... I actually thought about him, but I've never really considered him to be an X-Division competitor. They aren't focusing on it because the X Division belt became bigger than their world title. 2005 was the year of the X division. Styles vs. Daniels= Good Jarrett vs. Nash= Bad I'm not so sure my friends Dutch and Vince would agree. The only way to make Jarrett vs. Nash any more amazing than it already is would be to make it a Last Rights Chamber of Blood Scott Hall on a Pole Match. I mean, it finally settled the dispute over who is the worst booker/active wrestler of all time!

Their's no any divsion right now except for the Womens. Everyone else is involved instuff that doesnt even pertain to their divsion. One thing that kinda eludes TNA is importance of the titles...this is RUSSO all the way, he is clearly anti title belt. In this regard he's a freakin idiot!

Again, I still wonder whatever happened to the Sting/Daniels program....woulda been great. That feud was what could have launched Daniels. But instead he was buried, much like Joe was by Kurt Angle. Now apparently, Sting wanted Daniels to go over him at Slammiversary, but TNA's brilliant writing staff had other ideas, so I'm not too sure on that one. This is just an example of one of TNA's biggest mistakes: Trying to be like WWE, instead of being the alternative.

The X Divison was a craft that TNA killed a mere amount of months after they got their TV deal. I watched many of TNA's old X Divison matches, and most of them are my favorites. AJ vs. Daniels vs. Joe, AJ vs. Lynn vs. Lo Ki in a ladder match, AJ vs. Sabin vs. Williams in Ultimate X, Sabin vs. Williams, Daniels vs. Joe(TNA Thursday Debut), Ultimate Xcape 1,and Daniels vs. Primetime(LockDown 2005) are some off the top of my head. And the title says it all, if you think, half of the best guys aren't there anymore(Amazing Red, Jerry Lynn, Psicosis, Jack Evans, Matt Cross, Teddy Hart, Matt Sydal, ect.). The X Divison should over shadow the heavyweight divison because thats what makes TNA uniqe.

That's a good idea. It would give purpose to guys like James Storm, Abyss (now that his gimmick's been killed) , Eric Young, Tomko, and Black Reign... well, maybe not Black Reign.

But why introduce a new title at the expense of a title that the fans still care about? That's what I don't understand...
