If this year's Madden is good and if I get my 360 back in time, I'll join. My team of choice is obvious and my GT is Pfr Chaos. lol, fine. I'll use the Cleveland Browns. How convenient that Dallas isn't in your sig anymore, looks like you should add Cleveland to "your" teams. geez  Alright first off, I AM a Pats/Vikings fan. Always have and will be. Dallas, I really am not that big a fan of. I just like Owens and Romo. I forgot that I had the Dallas logo in my sig, as I made it last year. Then, when that guy brought it up, I figured I'd just take the logo out. And The Browns, I am not a fan of them at all. They're a pretty decent team, and I like their WRs, so I figured I'd use them for this, since the Vikings are taken, and people complain with Cowboys and Pats. So yeah, Element put me down for Cleveland I suppose. |

The problem is though you can't really be a "die-hard" fan for more than one team. If you're a lifetime fan of two teams...what if they face each other? Who do you root for?

Well, it's a hard choice for sure. I don't really care what others think. I'm a huge fan of the Vikings and Patriots. End-of.
Now, let's keep this on-topic, about Madden, not the 'Kodys favorite sports teams' thread.

I am a die hard Seahawk, Mariner, and Sonic fan. But out of all the great Seattle players (Brian Bosworth, Shawn Kemp, Alex Rodriguez) wait all those guys either left or retired. unfortunately I just found out I won't be able to get ahold of the game for awhile to be in the competition so I will have to drop out. Sounds like a blast and good luck to whomever takes over with the Vikes.

That sucks Becca, oh well.
I think everything should be updated. If you guys join the league on Madden, and one of the rules is wrong, let me know and I'll change it.
I'm super pumped that this is going as well as it is. Hopefully, we will have enough teams to start games this weekend, if not Monday.
As for games, once each person plays another person, the league will update itself and I'll update the thread with the standings. Games can be played whenever you guys want, just find somebody on the list and get a game going with them. As for who is home and who is away, I don't care. You guys can figure it out. Once we reach the playoffs (hopefully we do), the top... I'd say 8 teams get in. Then we will have a bracket to see who plays who.

I hope for you sake as a Viking fan you keep that picture up there all year even if the Vikes end up playing bad and not changing it to the Patriots when they start winning all the time.
It takes a real fan to go through thick and thin every year with a team but it makes it all the more worthwhile when your ONE team goes all the way.
I am a diehard Viking fan since 1996 and have yet to miss a single game since. There are other teams I root for but I live to see the Vikes playing on Sunday and nobody else.
In the end though..its up to you to like two teams, thats just my opinion on the matter.

There is my team, the Atlanta Falcons, and that is it.
I've had season tickets since 1997. I'm just glad all the "Vick fans" won't be in the Dome this year. They weren't fans of the team, and were usually pretty ignorant and annoying.

After Sunday, I may not be able to play until after next Thursday night. I would have been able to buy the game tonight, but the place where I work sucks and are essentially giving me a one-week loan.

hey, I probably won't be able to do this league, but if all goes well with this one and it's done by late october or early november, I'll be down to play with my Rams. that's only if this league goes good and another one happens...or if anyone drops out at that point in time, I can for sure take over.

Well, I know I won't be able to play much except for Saturday, and from then not at all until Thursday, but I think it's still safe to join. It's up to you. I don't really expect it to take up to October or November, because for one thing I've got bigger games to play than Madden by then.  |

But yeah we ended up getting Julius Peppers out of it so YAY. Yeah, I know how you feel. I've been a Bengals fan forever now and I always tell everybody that they will make the playoffs every year. I've been through 2-14's, 3-13's and everything but, hey we are getting better.
Just to let everybody know, I have no timetable as to when you have to get games in by. I don't really care how long it takes but, don't take like 3 months if you could really get all your games in in a few weeks. Hopefully, I'll take a few more entries and we can start games soon, probably Monday. |
