Ok when people talk about who should be pushed, a lot of people say MCMG or some other x division guy. But honestly, what guy has main event potential as a single's star? The two guys that come to mind for me are Hernandez and Robert Roode.
First of all, Hernandez is really quick, strong, and athletic for his size. He could have a lot of interesting matches. He would just need a mouthpiece behind him, although Hector Guerrero does a poor job as is. Unless they were both heel, because Hector just whines all the time which doesn't make him look like a good face.
I've always thought Roode had main event potential. I know that a lot of people are bored by him, although I don't know why. I think his personality stands out and that he could get good heat at any time.

James Storm and Robert Roode, once Beer Money runs it's course have those two go for the main event.

Jay Lethal, James Storm, Robert Roode, Hernandez, Christopher Daniels as Christopher Daniels, and Alex Shelley/Johnny Devine. (those two are more as competition and not quite champions.

Roode- a great old school heel Storm- could easily be the Austin anti-hero they need Daniels - always thought he could have been the dark Raven/Undertakeresque character for TNA Shelley - The funny yet ultratalented wiseguy persona (ala old Jericho) Sabin - He was so good in his heel role vs. senshi
That's all that comes to mind at the moment.

Hernandez: He is a quality brawler/powerhouse wrestler with decent mic skills. Based off his promo on Impact I don't think he'd need a mouthpiece. I love the "Supermax" nick name... push him as "Supermax" Shawn Hernandez.
Jay Lethal: Lethal can transcend the X-division status much like AJ Styles has already done. He's improved a ton in terms of mic skills and charisma since donning the Black Machismo name, and already has a win over Kurt Angle. If TNA wants to push their own talent, they should look no further than this man.
Alex Shelley: Probably more than anyone else, Shelley has tremendous main event potential... especially with his Paparazzi look/gimmick reminiscient of a young Chris Jericho. With Kevin Nash as his manager the backstage segments with him as TNA Champ would be godly. Just think of the matches he could produce with Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Christian, etc.
James Storm: Fun character, long TNA history, good ring skills and mic skills. Another prime candidate for TNA to push as a homegrown main eventer. It's about time to pull the trigger on this man's main event push. Afterall, he was to the tag division what AJ Styles was to the X-division.
