So in the 80's when WWF teamed up the Hart foundation they had: Bret Hart Jimmy Hart Jin Neidhart
all had Hart in their last name, it was just merely coincidence that they were not at all related (at the time)?

It was just a coincidence, really, but the name "Hart Foundation" was contrived after bringing the three together.
Jimmy Hart isn't related to either Jim or Bret, but Jim had been a brother-in-law to Bret before they were teamed in the WWF. Also, Bret Hart was the one who came up with the name for the team.

Just a lil history about how Jim and Bret got there.....When Vince was buying up territories Stu Hart promised to sell only if Vince promised to push a handful of his big stars. Vince agreed giving us Dynamite Kid and Davy Boy Smith...Known as The British Bulldogs, also were 2 youngsters Jim Neidhart and Bret Hart giving us the Hart Foundation and the 5th and final one was Allen Coage, also known as Bad News Brown

I believe that Bret and Jim were already related by marriage and Bret claims that he came up with the idea because of the similar last name.
