I can't believe people are still blindly defending Jakks! THAT'S why Jakks are so lazy and greedy - because even adult collectors will think it's right because they know no other way. Jakks are a different type of figure company to Mezco but that doesn't change the fact that Jakks figures sell for about the same price so there is NO reason why so many corners need to be cut on every Jakks figure when Mezco figures have all exclusive sculpts/molds, loads of paint apps, loads of accessories etc and they sell for the same, a Jakks figure would cost a tiny percentage of the production cost of a Mezco figure even if they did paint the back too. There's nothing wrong with them reusing molds and having little detail and paint apps because it does suit wrestling figures but it's when they take even more away until the figure is a dissappointment and they do that all the time. It's all because of Jakks' greed, they are a "near billion dollar company" but they "can't afford" to print the back design on a figure?! NO they want EVEN MORE PROFIT. They can't make every figure as detailed and heavily designed as Mezco because they make so much product but they obviously take things away from final figures for no other reason than to make more profit, there's a ton of other unfair tactics they use to make extra money which only results in a lesser quality of the lines/our collections. There are so many idiots that say "don't like it, don't buy it" or "stop moaning" etc when all you want is for managers to be in scale, people actually said that "Jakks can't afford to make a new manager mold" that could've been used hundreds of times. But when I buy a Star Wars figure, each figure has more new molds and paint applications than any entire Jakks series, they often have more accessories than an entire Jakks series and the accessories are fully painted, they even come with a different die cast coin each, with two differently molded sides (similar to the1/500 die cast belts that cost $120 on ebay) and a Star Wars figure is cheaper to buy than a CS figure. Hasbro is comparable to Jakks, they both started off making kids toys and have expanded into the adult collector market and they both make alot of figures, Jakks obviously started off quite small but now they've made nearly a billion dollars off us I'm sure they've expanded and employed more people. Mezco are a good example to use too because they are a small company yet they still manage to make awesome figures that sell for $15 and make them enough profit to keep improving.
The ONLY reason Jakks get away with deliberately ruining most of the figures is because of our love of wrestling, there's no alternative so if we want wrestling figures we have to buy Jakks' stuff. And Jakks can do a great job when they want to, their sculpting is great and the reuse of parts is actually a good thing when it works, it's just that extra little bit that they always take away from each figure that is wrong, they would still make as much money by adding all the detail/accessories that were obviously there at the proto stage because more people would buy the final product and not pass on it for being half arsed. Jakks greed has ruined alot of figures and probably cost them money in the long run, a few accidental mistakes are understandable but all the deliberate corner cutting is what makes Jakks the worst toy company in the world.
YIKES DUDE!
