Hey guys
What do you think about Thomas (Tom) Daley?
He's 14 years old, and he's diving for Great Britain, at olympic.
Earlier me and my friends was talking about him to being involved olympic, we think that was wrong for having him to involved.
My friend say that was wrong because Tom still in education and he should focus on education, then he can involved when he's 16 or 18.
I think my friend have a good point, and last 2 weeks ago, his partner from the diving was giving him an criticism because they both was knock out from the Men's Synchronised 10m Platform, which was appalling, he say they lose because Tom upset about his mother and on the phone all of time. But I think that happen because Tom's way too younger to doing something like as that.
But he's quite good at diving anyway, but I really can't see he won the Men's 10m Platform Preliminary today, really.
What do you think about 14 years old to involved olympics?

Itll be good for him to be experiencing the Olympics at a young age but itd probably be best for him if he did start doing all this stuff when hes at least 16 like you said. Still, Im guessing it was his choice to do all this so its his own fault if his life doesnt end up the way he wanted it

He had the chance to go into the olympics at a young age, and if i was him I would of took it. For all you know he could get worse as he gets older. It is possible. He probablly didnt want to risk taking the chance of saying no and never getting the chance again. And a 14 year old lad is hardly going to think about education over the olympics is he.

it was his partner who was on the phone to his mum, between the dives that they were doing, which is unprofessional and completely stupid. you're competing at the olympics, don't phone a person midway through your event

What do you think about 14 years old to involved olympics? whens hes 14, education is pretty non existent, its a gap year if you like. when your 16, then you have major exams, so why would he risk failing them.
