withleather.uproxx.com/ (scroll down) The UFC Fighter formerly known as Jon Koppenhaver has formally changed his name to “War Machine.” He was apparently happy with it as only a nickname until a trademark claim by TNA Wrestling made him take decisive action. He wrote on his blog (via CagePotato): Turns out some gay ass wrestling federation threatened to sue [UFC] because they recently named one of their wrestlers The War Machine Rhino and trademarked the name. Too  in’ bad that I have been using this name for 6 years, have it tatted on my body and it is what my fans yell out when I’m fighting. If you know my personality then you know damn well I am not gonna let some homosexual ass, FAKE wrestler steal MY name… SO 6 weeks ago I filed a change of name request and today I had court to make my name officially WAR MACHINE.

It's still REAL fighting though, last thing i think of two guys trying to kill each other for real is "gay" It's just stupid when it's the same ignorant comment people make when it comes to wrestling, "Oh it's sweaty men rolling around touching each other", When the same can be said for the UFC, doesn't matter if it's real. I don't care if he calls it fake, that's still ignorant but "gay/homosexual" is really unnecessary. |

And UFC PPV's blow TNA's rates out of the water. So I would actually think more people know War Machine than Rhino. People need to climb out from under their rocks. Although TUF does very well in the ratings and obviously the UFC PV numbers are insane I wouldn't have said that War Machine was an im portant or visible part of that.
Rhine has headlined many PPV's & TV shows something WAr machine hasn't & I'd say he was much more of a name.
Comes across as a total tw*t as well in that response

And, all the fights I have seen in my life did not consist of men on top of eachother for 4 minutes at a time. Most of it was boxing oriented. |
