No.
Gerweck.net has updated their report about contracts expiring stating that Christian Cage has signed a multi-year deal with TNA.
Thank god.

I find it funny how everyone was like "Oh my Christian's gonna jump ship" - yeah he might - next year when his contract actually expires The TNA Mobile service has issued a statement that former World Champion Christian Cage has now signed a new multi-year contract with TNA. No other details were released. That was May 28 2007. LOL.

But hasn't TNA Moblie released false things before? And it's not like you can ask for your release right?

A.) I doubt they would lie about a top star resigning a contract especially seeing as he just dropped the world title a few weeks prior. B.) There's a diffrence between a release and your contract expiring.

I think you're reffering to Booker T.

I think you're reffering to Booker T. But didn't this happen like before Booker came..Maybe around BFG...but then you'd be right...eh..who cares. But I assume if Christian was not going to resign, and was upset about his position enough he'd leave. But Christian is a professional, so I assume we won't see him in WWE for another year.

I don't see Christian leaving at all. I don't know him personally or anything but he seems very happy with his career right now. TNA gave him the chance to actually main event. WWE wasn't going to do that. They chose to make Edge the breakout star from that team. Edge deserved it. Even though Christian is just as good as Edge in the ring and better than Edge on the mic. I don't see what the benefit of going back to WWE would be for him. I'm sure he made good money during his time in WWE and I doubt TNA is paying him peanuts. He doesn't strike me as the type who pisses away his money. Plus I don't think he left WWE on the best terms anyway.

I actually Emailed Meltzer bringing up this mobile alert story. Meltzer replied back saying that the story of Christian's deal expiring before 2009 is still legit.

If he was smart he would come right after his contract expired because he would get more $ and would get a big push since he has really improved over the last 3 years.
