Hey guys.
First off, here's some pics of my new arena so please comment if you can. Those of you who have seen me post pics before are problably at least vaguely familiar with my arena. It's the Cell RSR and I made my own outer ring barrier and ring mats that are black and modeled after the ones they use on TV for WWE. I have a simple little entrance way and a custom lighting rig hanging from my ceiling.
Here's a pic of my arena before I revamped it today:
I decided to revamp my entire arena. Lately I've gone to a few WWE house shows, and being an old-school fan, I just like the vibe of a house show with it being stripped down and having the old-school style steel guard rails and just the old school look. I re-did my arena mostly to look like a house show arena, but with a few touches that make it like a WWE TV arena. I decided to stop using my custom outer ring mats and use the outer ring mats that come with the RSR HIAC because they look more oldschool. The shape of them are like the old mats that used to be outside the ring and the kind they still use at house shows.
I also decided to use the old steel guard rails to give it a more "stripped down" feel as well. Again, I always liked to keep a fairly simple arena set-up because I just do matches and not backstage segments, etc. I just like to have a simple, but neat and clean looking arena.
The two things that kinda make it "not-house showish" are the announcers table near the outside of the ring which I just wanted to have there and I also made my own custom tron. It's not modeled after any tron in particular, but I suppose it looks most like the old tron used on RAW during 1997. I also still have the same lighting rig I already had. Basically, it's not changed too much, but I stripped it down and tried to make it look more like a house show arena. I still have a few more things to add. I'll problably get some more railing and put it around the stage and make a little audience section, but it's mostly done. Again, it's meant to be simple and stripped down looking like a house show arena. I think it's a little neater and cleaner looking now, personally.
Onto the pick-ups. These pick-ups are from the last month.
I finally broke down and decided to get RA34 Y2J. I have commented in the past that I dislike the figure, but the more I looked at it in stores, the more I liked it. I'm still kinda dissapointed that it's in street gear and has orange hair (wtf), but it has some cool touches. The scan itself is pretty good and I like the little detail in the belt and chain. I wanted a RA Y2J, so I got it and it's good to use for street fights, etc.
I didn't have a Punk in yellow/black attire and that's one of my favorite color combo's he wears so I got the ECW 4 Punk. Anyway, it's a rerelease, but a good figure. I wish it wasn't shirted, but the shirts cool and the figure looks great. I also love that they finally added the little side detailing to Punk's kickers. Hopefully they keep it up.
Mrrrrrrrr. Kennedy! I love this figure. It's simple and the scan is the same, but the attire is awesome and one of my favorites of his. Simple figure, not too much too say, but the trunks rock and the tats look good. I like that they added the little touch of making the silver metallic on the trunks. Awesome figure.
Action shots!:
Jericho choking the life out of Punk!
Punk on the apron ...
Oh! He nearly took Jericho's head off!
Kennedy lifting up Hardy
What a move! All of Kennedy's weight crashed down on Jeff Hardy!
Is he gonna hit it?
Mic check it's over! 1 ... 2 ... 3!
