Back in 1996, when I first became familiar with the Kliq this is the order of importance I felt the group held.
1. Shawn Michaels (Current WWF Champion) 2. Diesel (Former WWF World, Tag & I.C Champion) 3. Razor Ramon (Former 4 time I.C Champion) 4. Hunter Hearst Helmsley 5. 123 Kid
But now in 2008, this is my view of the group:
1. Triple H (12 time WWE World & Heavyweight Champion, plus multiple tag & I.C reigns, plus being heir to WWE throne) 2. Shawn Michaels (Multi time World champion, but his 5 star performances, is more what his career has become about) 3. Kevin Nash (Another multi-time World champ, but is more famous for being involved in the nWo's creation. 4. Scott Hall (Lost the plot in recent years, but has respect for being a great wrestler/talker and creating the nWo) 5. Sean Waltman (Multi-time tag and lesser title holder, good worker but was video taping, sex with Chyna such a good idea?)
Anybody feel different?

No, I feel the list you provided is very accurate for both the past and present.
However, I would also add Peter Polaco (aka Aldo Montoya/Justin Credible) to the end of the list below Waltman, as he was also a rumored member who was good friends with most (if not all) of the key members.

agreed, it seems like the same order for everyone else - but for HHH moving to the top.

In 96 I actually thing the order of "Rank" backstage would have been...
1)Shawn Michaels 2)Razor Ramon 3)Diesel 4)123 Kid 5)Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Simply because Michaels and Hall were friends first, then in came Nash......Waltman was the next and Hunter was actually the "new kid" and odd man out usually...of course thats all changed now

yh, before in that era - HHH was virtually a nobody - even management hated him - hence the reason his squash match against Warrior at WM12 occured.

The MSG Incident took place on May 19th, whereas WMXII took place at the end of March.
Hunter was likely just an easy opponent for Warrior to squash without there being any longterm ramifications. He was scheduled to win the King of the Ring in June of '96 had the MSG Incident not taken place, so I wouldn't say management hated him at the time.

Plus HHH was a more viable opponent for Warrior to face, I mean the 123 Kid vs Ultimate Warrior wouldn't really cut it for a Wrestlemania. Up until January 1996 HHH was undefeated, although he mainly fought midcard guys he was a decent opponent for UW to face. Like it has been said I don't think it was anything to do with Hunter, getting squashed by the Warrior, its just it wouldn't do any long term damage to Hunter's career as was said. Also HHH went straight into a feud with a debuting Marc Mero after WM12.

the big damage for HHH out of MSG was KOTR 96.he was set to win it.he was punished because Vinnie was afraid to punish HBK in case he jumped to WCW.
but we all know it turned out way better for WWF,Vinnie and Wrestling in General that Austin won it.......and delivered THE speech.

I sort of disagree. Diesel was always kind of the big brother to Michaels and the rest and seemed to almost be the leader from the stories I read. And HHH came 2 years after Kid and I feel only became a bigger star after Kid was gone and went to WCW for a horrible run.
1995/early 1996 1. Diesel 2. HBK 3. Razor 4. 123 Kid 5. HHH
In 2008 I would say:
1. HHH 2. HBK 3. Diesel 4. 123 Kid/Syxx 5. Razor

I see it 1. HBK 2. Nash 3. Hall/HHH (at times I can see both guys being third in command) 5. Waltman

do you think they are all still friends now? obviously trips and shawn are but do you think the all keep in contact? Thats an interesting question. Ive heard that guys like Nash in particular have really gotten sick of Hall's drinking problem and you can't blame him for that since Nash was a big influence supposedly in getting him to TNA a year or two ago. Waltman seems to do his own crazy thing now. But its hard to tell. If I had to guess I would say Hunter,Shawn, Nash are still really close. I'm just sure they're tired of Hall and Waltman's problems so it wouldnt surprise me if they dont really talk at all anymore.
