Toby Maguire is close to agreeing a deal to return for 2 more Spiderman films.
Sam Raimi is also said to return.

I hope he does. No matter how bad Spider-Man 3 was, I still want Tobey as Spider-Man.

I'm no longer a fan of Tobey as Spider-Man. He's such a wimp and I know a lot of that is the writing but he looks the part too much. Any comic I've read about Spider-Man or cartoon I've seen, Parker looked nerdy at the beginning but then came into his own and looked a lot different. Also I hope if him and Raimi return, I don't want Parker/Spider-Man bitching all the time. It's gotten pretty old now. It worked for the second movie, but the 3rd movie could've done without it.

After Iron Man and The Dark Knight I no longer look at Spider-man the same way.
I feel as though they are so cheesy and cartoony. I still like number 2 but the third and first one were a little much. I feel they need to go in a different direction with the films and stop making them so cheesy with the shot of the american flag, the whole "New York is the center of the universe" mentality that they seem to display in the film what with the civilians always "sticking together" like when Doc Oc was going to kill spiderman and all the new yorkers stand up and say "if you want him, you got to get through us" I think that is so lame.
I do like Tobey as Spiderman though, despite what others say.
