According to sources, Mick Foley has signed a six-month deal with TNA. Foley has said that he was burned out in WWE and needed to get out of there. He's not expected to join the color commentary booth, but will have an on-air role.
His first TNA appearance last week in Long Island, he arrived two or three matches into the house show. He spent time backstage catching up with Brother Ray and spoke with everyone else. He was described as very friendly backstage. Foley was lost on his way to the ring and panicked.

The thought of Mick Foley getting lost on his way to the ring and panicking is hilarious.

So he isn't going to wrestle?
I thought it was going to be dumb but that is stupid..
Make him wrestle.
A 6 month deal is weird, he must not be that committed.

I'm actually happy its a seemingly short term thing as i just cannot see Foley nowadays in anywhere but the WWE... must have been cool to catch up with the old ECW lot though

I'm sorry but I have 0 desire to see Foley wrestling. How is he not committed? It's smart so at the end of those 6 months if both partys are happy he can sign on for another 1-2 years.

Well I didn't know you could sign half year deals.. Hopefully he is happy.

He said on an interview that "If he enjoyed his time, he would extend his contract for a longer period of time." So I guess these six months are considered his trial run.
