I know there's a lot of debate about how close they'll be to the Jakks RA/DA/whatever figures. But my question is do you WANT them to be the same? I know Mattel can't use the actual Jakks moulds, but would you want them to be 99% similar if possible?
I personally wouldn't. I'm not a fan of the Jakks bodies. With a few exceptions, they look almost identical, bodywise. I want a really short Rey Mysterio and a really tall Big Show (as examples, obviously the details depend on who is around in 2010). I don't want Edge's arms being basically the same size as Batista's.
So for me, the important thing is scale to each other, not to the Jakks figures. That said, they should be basically the same size as the Jakks figures so they're at least reasonably playable with 'em. It doesn't seem that feasible for them to give every guy an individual body mould though, so concessions would have to be made.
I also find the Jakks RA moulds rather unplayable anyway. The Toybiz TNA figures are more flexible and articulated, as are the DA and BNB figures, and the standard figures should be too. These are wrestling action figures, the legs shouldn't just bend up and down.
I expect that a lot of you folks want them to really closely resemble and fit with the RA style, on the grounds that you're hardcore collectors and display them together etc.
I'd also like to see them continue figures in the build and brawl style/size. Apart from some of the heads in series 3, I think B&B have a great balance of detail, playability and scale - though again, the figures being all the same size bothers me. But that's getting ahead of ourselves. For their man core line, I think they should be looking more to something like an improved version of the Toybiz TNA/WCW figures. Not with "action moves" but with real scan faces, lots of articulation, and character-specific accessories.

Nope. I want them more like Mattel's DCUC line. Im pretty much done with WWE figs when Mattel takes over except for my faves(Austin,LOD,Rock,HBK,UT etc etc)but that idea would rule

If there's legends/classics I'll get them if not it'll just be a few like HHH, Taker & Jericho, but that's only because there's nobody else on the modern roster I enjoy enough to spend money on.

i hope they are close to the jakks scale but they don't have to be exactly like them. also hope they have a little more articulation.

Doesn't matter, but if they could continue the UMF line identical, aside from being named and packaged different would be super nice, but that's just me dreaming unrealisticly...

Really depends. I am more of a loose collector and such, so I want some good articulations. However, if the figs are made to not be playable/poseable, I might buy and just keep them MOC. All depends.

Im hoping for something new, something fresh. I want an innovative approach to articulation. I want the figures to match jakks as close as possible in height but not in the types of molds. I do want more height differential though.

If they make them like the DCUC line, I will actually start buying WWE figures at retail again.

I want them to stay close to Jakks. If there are improvements that can be made then so be it. However, I do not want to start all over. I would like to continue with the collection. If the figs are way off from JAKKS (especially in scale) then I am done with Mattell and will only collect TNA and UFC figs.

Not with "action moves" but with real scan faces, lots of articulation, and character-specific accessories. I agree - realistic body proportions. Realistic muscle and height difference. Making those figures in a different scale will discourteous to people who have been collecting Jakks for years. For example I do not have a single figure of Kane or Diesel in my collection. I do not belive that Kane is the same height as Chavo and I do not belive that Diesel is the same height as HBK - however according to Jakks they are the same. Also I'm hoping that Mattel will not do anything IDIOTIC looking like DA at least not for collectors. I would prefer less joints but more realism. I wouldn't give a damn if there was no waist joint. Due to this waste joint we never got a correct figure of Andre the Giant and many others. I do not say they should be like Unmatched Fury (I hate those too), but it should be a balance in favor of the form, plus of course more real clothing will be required.

I would really be pissed if they didn't look right with the old figures. So if they look like the match with them, it's OK. They can make great changes like better scale and better joint stuff, but I'd rather they look similar to the old ones I have.

I want them to stay the same scale, but I want more of the figures to have deluxe articulation. I only buy the other kind to make deluxe figures.

I doubt id buy any.
Im a hasbro fan, always have been, it was my toy growing up. Jakks took over and changed everything, i hated it at first but it grows on you. I fell victim of the new looking figures for quite a while though and enjoy the classic line. Just out of bitterness, i feel that Jakks lovers need to get over it and i hope they are completely different. Simply because i had to deal with the change when hasbro lost the license.
Im such a bltch
