Good grief, that is the best Owen custom I think I've ever seen! Owen customs are a lot like Savage customs in that several are posted, but very few can capture a decent likeness. The facial expression is perfect, the hair is dead on - I can't think of a thing to complain about. Just amazing.

I'm glad you took the time and actually used the closed mouth Dykstra head instead of the yelling one. I love modifying heads and I know what went into this one to modify it. The torso does look a teeny bit big in the stomach area, but the chest and such is perfect for Owen. Using the Kurt Angle DA torso would have made him way too ripped and your part choice helps capture him better. Even if there are minute details missing, this is still a fantastic custom. The work that went into the head more than makes up for "missing" details.
I think Gate is just upset that you made a great Owen and his ebay customs keep having to be relisted in order to sell. I guess whomever is bumping his auctions keeps winning them... lol.

Thanks guys for looking, Also, I've never claimed that everything I've done is complete and utterly accurate and I don't really care if it is anyways as long as I'm happy with it but I hope posting what Ive done to enhance my collection can inspire others to do the same and we can share ideas on how to do it. So lets drop it and pick up some paintbrushes and about a million random dismantled Jakks figures and have some fun! Besides aren't we all missing Raw right now? Also for the record Owen's not my favorite wrestler. I didn't post that anywhere anyway, Mr. bundle of joy, grasping at straws, missunderstood and tired to use it as a point to get me mad or something of the like, but I wouldn't want to let anyone go on believing that I didn't like Eddie best of all! I am from Calgary though by the way so Owen's not so bad in my books. Fantastic come back, and its nice to see some adults on the boards who dont bite at cranks trying to wind them up, well done. I think that Owen is a very nice attempt, im not a fan of decals (purely because i like the challenge of a brush, and im not very good with decals ) The singlet looks a little low on the upper torso, but not to far off, and everything that has been mentioned. But the head and neatness are 10/10, very nice overall, looking forward to seeing more of your work

I don't believe in ratings, but this is an outstanding custom, and probably the best Owen I have seen on these forums. As others have said, it looks leaps and bounds better when you go the extra mile and modify the RA scan instead of just using the DA head (which always just ends up looking like Kenny dressed as Owen).
Personally, I like the use of decals. I don't think that creating your own graphics and applying them convincingly to a figure is any step below painting them. With things like this, you almost need decals to get it to look like a factory job. I think a lot of people who are down on decals confuse them with what are known here as "printouts," which is just gluing paper to a figure. Decals are tough to deal with, and are pretty much an artform unto themselves.
I hope to see more of your customs, and with no disrespect to anyone, I hope you don't let people who nitpick discourage you from sharing your work.

Great custom, I think the body is too big though. Maybe change it to the Angle body? 9/10.

I give this figure 10/10. He is a superior custom maker. I have yet to see customs that would beat his in quality - maybe if Jakks Pacific starts making them.
The quality of his customs beats Skribbel24 customs. Meticulous detailing, microscopic work on designs, perfect colors, needless to say amazing sculpting work on top of all that.
Keep up the good work.

Great Owen. No need to worry about the niggly little details, it looks the part in my opinion

I just read this, and it's great to see other figure customizers who make them for their own enjoyment and not just for eBay. As long as you're satisfied with it, you've done it well.
