Main Card Bouts: -Josh Neer vs. Nate Diaz -Mac Danzig vs. Clay Guida -Ed Herman vs. Alan Belcher -Houston Alexander vs. Eric Schafer
Preliminary Bouts: -Wilson Gouveia vs. Ryan Jensen -Joe Lauzon vs. Kyle Bradley -Dan Miller vs. Rob Kimmons -Drew McFedries vs. Mike Massenzio -Jason Brilz vs. Brad Morris -Alessio Sakara vs. Joe Vedepo
I'm VERY excited about seeing Danzig vs Guida. This is going to be a battle from start to finish between 2 guys that just never quit.
I'm really sick of hearing about Nate Diaz, then he goes out and fights people that really aren't top LW. Pellegrino was his toughest opponent so far, how does Silva now set him up with Josh Neer? What is this? The battle of the god awful tattoos against the god awful hygiene, or speech? Seriously, I'm not interested at all. This fight should have been Nate Diaz vs Grey Maynard. I hate Josh Neer, but I'm PRAYING he finally shuts this kid up. I can't stand the Diaz brothers.
I'm not overwhelmed by the card at all, as it's not nearly as good as they've been doing recently, and not even CLOSE to a WEC card....but it's something I'll be watching. I know they're trying to profile their most recognizable names (minus Lauzon)...but Ed Herman? Really? He's SO inconsistent and really can't step up.
FOTN prediction = not that hard. Guida vs Danzig. I'm predicting a Danzig win via armbar in the 2nd round.

I can't wait to see Guida/Danzig. That will be an amazing fight, possibly a FOTY candidate. Personally, I'm hoping to see a three round war with Guida picking up the win and getting back on track to becoming one of the top contenders at 155.
I hope Neer beats Diaz to shut him up. I can't stand the guy. But, it would be funny to see Nate do the post fight interview if he wins. Whatever's not bleeped out would be "I'm the best" or "I only want to fight the best." I like Nick Diaz, but I can't stand Nate Diaz.
The rest of the card is good, but I'm tuning in to see Guida/Danzig and Alexander/Schafer.

Danzig/Guida may be more exciting than Huerta/Guida.
Guida ALWAYS has explosives fights and Danzig is just relentless. I see this fight having amazing takedowns, and explosive striking battles.

Interesting opponent to give Houston Alexander considering he lost his last two. I think this may be the end of seeing Houston in the UFC. Which is a shame considering I was a fan of his.
Guida vs. Danzig is going to be damn good...I'm hoping Guida wins but he is a little relentless at times...so who knows.

The guy has raw strength and power, and if he can avoid Schaefer's right hand, and maybe get a takedown on the guy, we may see an upset.

Plus, Schafer isn't immune to losing via strikes... if Stephan Bonnar and Michael Bisping can beat him that way, then Alexander can, too (as long as he can keep it standing). The UFC obviously has some high hopes for Alexander. It's not every day that they sign a guy to a 5 fight extension a couple weeks before a fight that could become his third straight loss. And I'll join the bandwagon of people psyched for Guida vs. Danzig. I seriously don't think I've ever seen a bad Clay Guida fight... but I'm positive I've seen a lot of great ones. This guy just delivers, win or lose. I still like Danzig to win, but it's not going to be a cake walk.

The more I think about it, the more I take back my 2nd round arm-bar prediction and turn it into a unanimous decision for a Danzig win. I just see Guida having too much heart.
I can do that if I want to.
If Danzig and Dirty Diaz win, I want to see these 2 fight very, very soon.

If Danzig and Dirty Diaz win, I want to see these 2 fight very, very soon. It can be a fight to crown the Ultimate Ultimate Fighter. Sort of like the Ultimate Ultimate, only with less Tank Abbott and more Mac Danzig.

Man, I almost forgot about tonight's fight night. It should be a great night of fights. I'm really looking forward to it. Plus, this season's Ultimate Fighter Team Nog/Team Mir comes on right after. Should be awesome.

Josh Neer, has without a doubt, the worst tattoo ever for a MMA fighter.
A "NEER" tramp stamp? Who did he lose a bet to?
And why people don't ever want to just stand with Diaz is beyond me. He throws some very soft hands.

in' Nate Diaz wins again...I can't stand that guy. Granted, he's a hell of a fighter, but I just can't stand him. I can't wait until someone beats his in' ass for once. I'd love to see Karo mess him up or maybe a re-match with Manny, but he's way ahead of Manny at this point. Matter of fact, Nate has got to be close to getting a title shot here shortly. He's undefeated in the UFC so far, so a title shot can't be that far away. Good luck beating Penn though. Diaz has a snowball's chance in hell of beating Penn for the belt.
