Kurt Angle was interviewed this week by the UK Sun and spoke at length about what he feels is wrong with today's TNA product and can "almost guarantee" he'll be fighting in the UFC next year. Here's what Angle said about his future in MMA: "I’m talking to several fight companies about doing MMA by the end of next year - 2009. I’m going to cross over to the MMA world for a while but I want to end up back in TNA and back in wrestling. I’ve always wanted to do it. I’m the only Olympic gold medallist that will enter the Octagon and it feels right for me. I can almost guarantee you’re going to see me in the Octagon." UFC president Dana White stated in an interview this summer that Angle's neck injury "scares the s*** out of me." White stated that Angle is a friend, but he doesn't seem to be taking his MMA interest seriously. That doesn't mean one of the other promotions won't bring him in, but it would be surprising to see UFC make Angle a strong offer. www.pwmania.com/newsarticle.php?page=224195059

Kurt needs to sh*t or get off the pot with MMA. He isn't getting any younger and age can play a factor. Not everyone is Randy Couture. I don't care if he is an Olympic Gold Medalist. Wrestling isn't as much of a factor as it used to be in MMA. So many guys train with top wrestling coaches these days. Take Georges St. Pierre for example. He didn't even wrestle in high school and can completely outclass great wrestlers in his weight class. I have mild interest in seeing Kurt in the cage. I'm just sick of hearing him talk about it.

Angle should just keep focus to wrestling, because, even as one of the best.... he could be the undeniable best if he'd focus on his in ring legacy, and his legacy can live on but is fulfilled the moment he leaves, therefore it's still being built.

Doesn't anyone remember what happened last time Kurt wanted to "get out for a bit?"

Dana has to realize that bringing in Kurt doesn't mean it will be a huge draw for the UFC. At the same time, Kurt's neck issues really hinder him from being a top contender. All I can sya to Kirt is don't quit your day job.
