Drew beating Roman will be like Luger beating Hollywood Hogan. It's completely pointless and only done for a pop when the end game they've built to was Roman vs Cody.

Yep it was all just to get the title off Sting. Dont forget at the same time The Black Scorpion angle was going on too. Which originally was played by Al Perez but I have no belief that he was really the long term plan. So you essentially had Sid & "Flair" going after Sting at the same time. I think Sting wrestled a few house shows against Windham around the time as well.

Didnt Eric recently say on his Pod that discussions between him/Fusient stalled when he found out there was no TV deal but he started working on a TV deal (WB? or someone I cant remember) and before it could get finalized AOL/TW accepted WWEs offer and it ended all negotiations?
Regardless I think WCW would still be around. It may not be what it once was but maybe it could be better. Bringing the NWA back into the fold could have given them a flourishing amount of talent. Essentially what you saw from TNA & ROH in the early 2000s would have been WCW.

Ive ordered from Paul before. Went ahead and grabbed Nash & Hall from him after seeing this thread but HBK was all sold out. Hopefully I can find it later on.

My 2nd arrived yesterday (or maybe it was 2 days ago). Received emails from Mattel Creations throughout the whole process. Both Macho's have showed up in my order history too. Im good.

Why announce Hangman now? You could've had Silver/Reynolds pull out a handicap victory on Friday, going into Sunday with no partner announced and gotten a huge pop when Hangman comes out as the 3rd man Because TK has no idea how to book. He can put together matches cause the roster is filled with talent but when it comes to booking long term storylines, he's garbage. He needs to hire "wrestling minds" and step back. |

I’m sorry. I’m patient but yeah, I do wish they would hurry the up with my Arena. And I wish it was first come first serve when it comes to shipping. Shipping by regional batch was bull pucky. And I’m not even ashamed to say that s##t. Im not sure it was done regionally as I ordered two (at two different times) and both shipped but they were 10 days apart. |

Bayley has a ton more range to get out of her heel run than the trajectory of her work as a babyface was affording her. I'm a huge Bayley fan, going back to NXT, but that character, in of itself, had a ceiling, and she'd reached it a long time ago. Bayley was easily one of the Thunderdome-Era MVPs, and I don't think her heel run (or Sami's, for that matter) are miscast at all. Personally, I think locking someone into what seems "natural" is a hindrance to their potential as a performer. Some of them hit it out of the park, and some of them falter. I don't think Bayley or Sami have begun to falter. Roman is one of my favorite things in wrestling right now. When he's on, I stop and pay attention. I think his matches since turning heel and going on his massive dominant run have been must see across the board. I think there are varying degrees of strength in the ring, and Roman's is shining insanely brightly right now with the focus on his ability as an in-ring storyteller. WWE knows what it is - a family product that needs to keep adults engaged to pay the kids' way into the shows/merch/etc. Everything else is gravy for them. Best thing I ever did was cut myself short when I realized I was trying to treat any brand of wrestling as some sort of high bar beacon of intellectual entertainment. It's a form of entertainment that has its deepest roots in the exploitation of human gullibility and the suspension of disbelief. It's not high brow theatre. Shut off the ole brain space for a couple of hours, settle in, and enjoy the ride for what it is.but but what about Work rate?!?!? (well said. Should be the foreword in a book) |
