I don't agree that everything pisses mom's off (that's a pretty broad statement), or that kids might be confused by these figures. I'm married with two kids and I don't have an issue with it, and neither does my wife. Many of these kids who watch WWE are probably playing Black Ops and Fallout. The idea of death and zombies is not new to most them.
I think it depends on the age of the kid and more importantly their maturity. WWE has young fans, teenage fans and adult fans, and their products seem to reflect that. Kids are watching a PG WWE product that sees people getting hit with chairs and being put through tables. I find it hard to believe zombies would be a shock to them.

i should have done my homework. i litteraly got him over other figz cus of the shirt lol i found it halrious ! and yeah i did pay a high price on punk but it was my first dive in to the elite game and i had to have him. i paid 30 for orton and cena each also that seemed fair they are in excelent condtion. Great start to your collection! Yeah, it's good to look at some Google images of the packaged figures before bidding or buying on eBay. That way you'll better know what should come with it. In my opinion that was a nice touch to that Truth figure, but sucks that it was listed as unopened. I don't think you paid too much for Punk. It's a series 1 elite figure of an incredibly popular wrestler, and it's still packaged. If you think in terms of it being the first series that kicked off all of our Mattel collections, it's a piece of collecting history. If it makes you happy and you're in a financial position to do it, then good for you. Great score on getting it!

Likely: AJ Styles Possible: The Fabulous Freebirds Reaching: David Von Erich Pipe Dream: Kenny Omega (can't see him signing with the WWE as much as he loves living and working in Japan) Impossible: Dolph Ziggler (with the right hair) I love the idea of the Freebirds and a David Von Erich. It would be great to have all three Von Erich's displayed in my collection with the Freebirds. Makes me wish we had Matty Collector again, in case it would make ideas like this more possible. And, I would love to see an Adorable Adrian Adonis. He was in such a high profile feud with both Piper and Beefcake, and had some great Flower Shop segments. He could come with scarves and flowers. Would look great next to Jimmy Hart.

I have yet to find one of any of the HOF3 or Heenan Family. I'm closer to the Irvine area.

The most recent Ricky Steamboat basic (I forget the series) had me going through the Network watching a ton of his matches. Man, he was ahead of his time. I agree. My all time favorite wrestler. The slow buildup of his feud with Savage was incredible.

It's the other way around for me. I watch the older matches and it makes me really want Mattel to make figures from those matches Oh man, the same thing happens to me.

I've been watching wrestling and collecting figures since the LJN line started back in the mid-80's. Having seen most of the great wrestling eras come and go, I've had the fun of collecting each next line of wrestling figures. From LJN all the way through Mattel, I've gotten to enjoy them all.
So for you younger collectors, or those of you who are just getting into watching wrestling and collecting, has any of the Mattel releases made you go back to watch some older wrestling matches? Or maybe you've been collecting for a long time and some of the Mattel Legends and Flashback figures made you go back to watch some of your favorite matches that you haven't seen in a while?
Maybe it's classics like Steamboat vs. Savage at WM3, or The Road Warriors vs. The Midnight Express at Starcade '86 Night of the Skywalkers. Maybe the Mattel release of the Von Erichs had you watching some old WCCW videos on the WWE Network? Or even going as far back as watching old Bruno Sammartino matches when his figure was released.

This. Those are the years that made me love wrestling for a lifetime. Especially if we could also get the NWA, WCCW, and AWA roster.

Fantastic pics with the details. For me I think Bam Bam, MVP and The Rockers don't get a lot of praise. I agree. Bam Bam is great, as well as the Rockers. I don't own MVP, but it's a nice looking figure.

I'm a display only collector, which means because I don't take my figures out to have matches, I sometimes forget how great some of these figures really are. And, with many posts being made about some great recent figures, I thought it would be cool to look back on four older figures that don't get many posts, but are incredibly well made. So in the spirit of collecting, let's take another look at some old figures . . . First up is the E15 Evan Bourne. I wasn't a fan of Air Boom, and I had no intention of getting this figure. However, I am a fan of tag team wrestling, especially old school tag teams where it wasn't just two guys thrown together, but they were tag teams that functioned as one unit (Road Warriors, Bushwackers, Demolition, Rockers, etc . . .) Air Boom was an attempt at giving the tag team division some new life after many years of the tag titles not meaning so much. So WWE put Evan Bourne and Kofi together, and they decided to start dressing in the same colors and after some voting on WWE.com, they were named Air Boom. There's some great detail on both sides of his trunks, as well as the front and back. And, he looks great with E17 Kofi as Air Boom in their He-Man Battecat colors! Next up is E8 William RegalThis has got to be one of my favorite figures in my collection. I've always been a fan of Regal, and thought this figure perfectly captures that villianous side of him. Great face sculpt capturing his disgusted and not-too-pleased look. Also, it's hard to tell from the photo, but his lips are actually painted. Nice smaller details in his tattoos. The Legends, Ugandan Headhunter KamalaI grew up watching wrestling in the 80's and have been collecting since the LJN line. My first Kamala figure was the LJN one and I always loved this character. He never won a title, but in the 80's (and through my childlike eyes) this big man always seemed like a legitimate threat. His Mattel figure is dead on. An interesting and unique feature on this figure is his skirt, which is fabric and non removable. A wonderful face sculpt capturing Kamala's confused look. Last up is E15 R TruthI'll tell you what's up . . . this is my favorite R Truth figure from my favorite run of him in the WWE. His feud with John Cena, and the creation of Lil' Jimmy. Another incredible head sculpt from Mattel on this one. The removable vest was a nice inclusion. I hope you enjoyed this look back. Taking a moment to do this reminded me why I love collecting and this community so much. I'd love to know what some of your old favorites are.

These are images of a pre-production sample. Most of our official images are from such samples, which are the last ones I review before they are finalized.Sometimes I am able to catch late errors before production, as with the Renee Young figure. The boots are being changed to be more accurate. The 1st run will be the laced boots. The rest of the run will be corrected boots. Jacket being molded was an aesthetic decision based on the facts 1) Sting's arm streamers were much thinner and more numerous than Macho Man's. If I used a SG jacket he would have streamers the same size as Macho Man's, which I did not want (they have to be a certain size to avoid choking hazards, no way around it). 2) I would also have lost the epaulets on the shoulders. If I would have produced a SG jacket with wide arm streamers and no shoulder epaulets I would have heard the feedback as well I am sure. Thank you for this. It clears up a lot of speculation in terms of what goes into making a figure. It makes complete sense why there's a molded jacket. And thank you for being willing to spot an error like the boots and change them out. You did the same for the APA. It goes to show how much effort is made to make these figures and the hard decisions that have to be made to not only produce a quality product, but one most people will enjoy.

Anyone know if any vendor's at Frank and Son have the new HOF figures or the Heenan Family? I was there this evening, picked up the only Heenan I saw for $70; Saw the HOF figures circulating around multiple vendor booths for about $30 a pop. Thanks for info!

Don't worry about what others think. You just keep being yourself and you'll find that real friends will stick around and be supportive of things you're passionate about. And you'll find a woman who will like you for just who you are. Never be ashamed of who you are and never lose yourself to please others.
Who knows, you may even end up working for Mattel or the WWE one day.

I think it's a solid pack, but it would have been great to get a King Haku in there. That way we'd have 3 out of 4 figures being a first time release. Instead of who though? I like the idea, but I don't think we'd get 3 new figures in an elite 4 pack that's only $49.99. True. That'd be a great deal to get three new elite figures for that cost. I completely understand the idea behind putting Andre and Perfect in the set, it makes sense in terms of recognition and sales. It would be a tough choice on which to replace. In a dream world Haku and Hercules along with Heenan and Studd would have been amazing. Simply to get figures we haven't seen before. But, I'm not complaining. I think Mattel did a great job on this set.

Ordered mine on 12/31. Sami, Balor, 123, Lita, and Funk. No notice yet, but from what others are saying, I'm hoping to get the notice this afternoon.

i just wonder if we stay at 3 figs or 4. tbh this line isnt far from being shoved off a cliff either, HOF 3 wasnt great by any means. Heenan pack is meh at best with who they included. i have no RUSH to get any of HOF 3. but thats me. Just curious who you would replace in the heenan pack? I think it's a solid pack, but it would have been great to get a King Haku in there. That way we'd have 3 out of 4 figures being a first time release.

Thanks for posting these. It's pretty cool to see them all together as a collection. I think the idea is solid and a fun way to enjoy collecting while getting some extra parts.
