Well with McGregor/Diaz fully Cheech and Chong'd, I can't imagine the mad scramble for a main event. Jones Vs Cormier 2 or Rousey Vs Holm 2 are the only two options I can think that are feasible and big enough fights. And I'm sure they'll work out things with they can McGregor for the MSG show... Looks like Cormier aND Jones is set to headline UFC 200 now in a Unification Bout. Jones enters as a 3-1 favorite.

I'm Josh and I'm the new MOD for the Backyard Forum. I've been back at WF for about 2 years, spending the vast majority of my time in WFWF, where I am and active member. But I got my start in doing backyard wrestling matches on trampolines and makeshift rings, and eventually put the template together for the very character I use in WFWF with pretty good success (not to mention it hurts a lot less). I have a lot of advice I can give to guys wanting to try their hand at Backyard wrestling and hope to add to our conversations in that way. So let's have fun and keep the conversations civil.
Nice to meet everyone.
Josh.

Yay for trying to type out your notes into a monologue while also having a huge migraine. Can barely look at a screen right now That's heart fellas. Here is a man that wants to win in the worst way.

I just powered through 6 hrs of lab report, spent 20 minutes on hold with my doctor and my summer job, and have a lab in another 20. I don't want to be an adult, guys. Can I go from 20 to 17 and stay there forever? Welcome to finals time guys, where you find out most of your professors are unforgiving douches.

I have to wonder what the hell I was doing in high school when a 1000 word essay seemed daunting to me, since now I crank out 1000 words on an RP like it is absolutely nothing. On a related note, I hate the clickhole that I get into on Wikipedia. I don't know how I got from Arrow to butterflies, but I did. I remember when I was just starting out here and I found it a struggle to get much more than a thousand. Now I pump out 5,000 regularly. How's the RP going? I've been saying it for years that e-fedding helps in all areas of writing. The interesting thing about how it helps with academic writing is that it helps establish a voice (which as much as academics want to discourage that, they know there is a certain tone when reading someone's paper). Another factor is that fedding helps the ability to expand on points. Take any type of research paper. Yes you obviously cite a source, but you still have enough to expand on that information and make the connection to your point. Vocabulary helps in both mediums, but how about the age old advice given in fedding, making your words count. With all the flowery language and long narratives, some of the most successful are able to tell a great story in a very succinct fashion. Same goes for academic writing, where a longer paper can hurt you more than a short paper in some instances, especially with a word count.

Did I miss something. I'm usually in the loop about most things that happen around these parts. The joke perhaps? Sounds about right. I went to sleep about that time, so my brain wasn't working very well.

I've wrote 14 pages. Not my best stuff. Pretty dry. Lots of talk about database management and little talk about my match. I don't even know who my opponent is. The monologue is definitely suffering too. Did I miss something. I'm usually in the loop about most things that happen around these parts.

How are everyone's RPs coming along (those that have posted already notwithstanding)? I have been ploughing along quite well actually. I've only got about a quarter left to write with a week until deadline. Who am I? To those that have already posted I'll do my best to read and reply to your work over the weekend. Pretty good so far. Should be a good show.

I'm really surprised that McGregor is going to fight at Welterweight again. He's just to small to be fighting at that weight. I think there is a very strong possibility that he loses to Diaz again and then turns around just to lose his title to Frankie, who he clearly doesn't want to fight. Conor is only cute when he's chirping and winning. If he goes down 3 in a row he's just going to look like a loud mouth assh*le. The card is underwhelming based on what I expected. Aldo vs Edgar will be good. Holm vs Tate isn't happening because Dana doesn't want to lose Ronda vs Cupcake 3. Never has a return been so comfortably lined up for Ronda to return. She hates Tate, she knows how to beat her, and it has tons of marquee value. Then, once Ronda beats her again, Dana can turn around and give us HH vs RR 2, which is the real money fight to see if Holm is just Ronda's kryptonite or if Ronda just had a terrible strategy when she lost, so like not keeping her hands up or trying to stand up with a great striker instead of playing to your judo strength and her inferior ground game... At which point, if Cyborg isn't kicked out of the UFC by then, and she has shown she can make weight, that fight could actually happen, but I doubt it haha. 197 and 199 both look like equally as good, or better, cards to me. Assuming JJ gets out of jail any time soon. 198 is stacked too. Werdum/ Miocic, Jacare/Belfort, Maia/Matt Brown, Shogun/Corey Anderson, Anderson Silva/Uriah Hall, Cyborg. Damn strong card. 200 should still be alright, I just don't like that UFC is deliberately holding up the 145 title while Conor decides to play around in weight classes. It's pretty obvious he has no interest in fighting Frankie, who by my estimation is number one contender. The first fight with Aldo was close and competitive, but I think Frankie's pace could wear Aldo down the second time around. I feel like Aldo's confidence is shaken the same way Barao's was when he lost. A full camp is trouble for McGregor against Diaz, then Dana's meal ticket will be limited on his options.

This has been a mostly solid show, but, as usual, it took quite a dive in the third hour. I adore both Owens and Ambrose, but it's nearly impossible to care about seeing those two face each other at this point. Once it became clear that they weren't building to anything for the main event tonight, things just kind of fell flat. Good development for Payback matches, though. Really intriguing stuff with AJ, Anderson, and Gallows. Why do I have the feeling this is AJ's heel turn, used as a thinly veiled attempt to get face sympathy for Roman? Anyone else feel this way? Only WWE could screw up a pretty clear direction. Wonder how many times Vince had to take his driver's test. *BA-DUM-TSH*

This is a sexuh show Bren, and even though it's a stand alone show, it still managed to push storyline.
Nice work guys.

I'm like 99% sure that Vaudevillains will win due to Dudleyz shenanigans. I think that Vaudevillains MAY be the team to unseat the New Day. You're not the only one who has thought that.

My kid's current favorite trick is not falling asleep unless he's held, and then waking up the first 7 times you think you finally have him out and try to get him into the crib. Yup, been there.

I did sub work when I was 19. You can have that sh*t. Kid already steals my phone at every turn. He's apparently born to be a lifelong simpleton because his favorite things are toys that make noise when you shake them and lights. Until a full time position opens up in my content area, I'm relegated to subbing. Thankfully there's only a month left in school. My kid enjoys things like riding lawnmowers, tractors, taking sh*t apart and putting it back together. I think I'm going to have a mechanic on my hands.
