Vince: "Dammit Roman, at least sell for AJ. Don't make it so obvious that we're gonna bury him." Roman: "What is this 'selling' you speak of? Roman Hogan I see similarities even in the name. All we can hope now is that Roman has even a quarter of Hogan's bad ass heel turn when he finally makes the turn.

I've heard from numerous sources that they "don't want none." That would be Roman when he's told to take the Styles Clash. Vince: "Dammit Roman, at least sell for AJ. Don't make it so obvious that we're gonna bury him." Roman: "What is this 'selling' you speak of?

I think Bray and the Wyatt's would be better off if their appearances were more sporadic. Like you never know when or where they'll attack. So I'd be in favor of them taking extended breaks in between. With maybe the occasional video package to remind fans that they're lurking. Pretty much this. Especially with Harper out right now.

this whole shane running the show despite him losing at mania thing is just such...bad...writing. literally wcw 2000 style. Maybe Shane secretly bought RAW and Vince doesn't want Steph and Haitch to know. **drops mic** THE LOCKBOX!

There are some rare moments in history that are a very special. I was in junior high when McGwire and Sosa broke the home run record (wasn't as interested in Bonds' pursuit 3 years later, or his assault on the all time record), and it was truly magical. I was 10 when the Bulls broke the Lakers old mark, a huge Jordan fan, and am one of the people who still think that Chicago team is the greatest of all time.
That said, I hope Golden State does it because it is a very special thing they're doing and it may be a long time before we see another team come close to doing this.

Steph Curry needs 12 3s to have 400 on the year in unreal And yet one of ESPN's clowns is trying to say James is the MVP this season. Uhh...nuh... Which ESPN clown... gotta be more specific Shawn, because that's a vast majority of them. On that note, if I could give a vote to anyone other than Curry for MVP this year, it be Westbrook because of the 16 Triple Doubles.

I really want to see the Warriors break the record so all the players on that Bulls team come crying about how they'd sweep them. The only one who's been really vocal about it is Pippen. He can buzz off. I understand Pippen defending the Bulls team due to it being a great source of pride, but because the rules are different (hand checking, flagrant fouls in particular), it's really difficult to determine how a series would go. I don't think Pippen should be saying a sweep, because as close as they are to the record that at least earns them enough respect to take a game, maybe 2 from that Bulls team. Man, a best of seven with those two teams would be awesome though.

No, the best post ever was during the evisceration of Andrew Carter, as he continued to protest that he was only acting the fool because he wanted to know how his match turned out, when I finally suggested that "Someone just tell Carter that he lost so we can all move on". I stand corrected.

Am I the only one that thinks Roman's half of the promo with Styles was garbage? He basically repeated what AJ said, which admittedly wasn't a lot. I agree the smug arrogance fits Roman pretty well, so maybe he'll get better on the mic. I'd rather him be be more natural as a heel then this contrived crap we've been forced to watch for two years. I noticed this too, the whole beating "the guy" thing. I sat watching it thinking "you've just repeated what he said!". I have to wonder how much of Roman's character is actually an original thought, and not just copying more talented people.

We know that isn't going to happen. Letting Nakamura keep his character without WWE trying to put their spin on it would involve conceding to the fact that someone besides Vince can come up with a good idea. Yeah, Vince would rather eat sh*t than do that. I fear they'll try to change him but I sincerely hope Triple H stands his ground on it Makes 2 of us. Unfortunately Vince has a nasty tendency of getting what he wants. Even if it is HHH's baby.

yeesh the people in this thread. if he plays a heel well, and is a compelling character, then yes people will enjoy that. but if he's a bland heel that stumbles on the mic and his weaknesses still aren't protected then NO people will not 'suck his dick' or 'worship the ground he walks on'. he could have been a compelling face too but they failed at making him into that, note how i say they failed and not roman. Yeah. Not going to get that through to a certain section of this board, though. If people like or appreciate Roman if he turns heel, it's probably because he'll be doing a good job in his role. A large segment of us have been saying for a year or more that he's going to make one of the best heels the company has seen in years. I appreciate good heels, and so, if that prediction turns out to be true, I'll appreciate Roman Reigns. The blind "people will like him when he turns heel" opinion usually fails to acknowledge that there will likely be a perfectly good reason for that - Roman Reigns makes an absolutely horrible babyface, and, his personality, demeanor, and attitude indicates that he could be an absolutely incredible heel. With that in mind, it's baffling to me why people wouldn't be able to see why he'll be much more widely accepted as a heel. This pretty much, but I'm going to mention another section of people. The people who just have complete apathy for Roman. The ones who don't like him as a face because he's horrible and way too forced, the ones that hate his heel work because he's still horrible (but at least he's a bit more natural playing a douche. Must be a real personality trait). I'm in that group of people that just want Reigns to go away, period. I acknowledge that he is a good athlete with a marketable look and heritage. Unfortunately, those are his only redeeming qualities to me. I think he got over originally because of the Shield, where the majority of their cheers were for the more complete performers in Ambrose and Rollins. Then of course there was the Royal Rumble in 2014, where his cheers were more because the crowd sh*t on Dave Batista and WWE's decision not to put Daniel Bryan in the Rumble match. Either way, he got them by association and not because he actually earned them through any sort of work (except maybe not to injure anyone). Vince was always probably going push this guy, but those cheers must have given him the wrong impression about how over Reigns was at the time. Now we've been subjected to him trying to justify it for two years and burying everyone with a chance in the process. HHH, while knowing better, tried his best to help set Roman up for success. But success happens in wrestling when everyone involved works hard to get better, something Roman's entitled ass isn't too keen on (we've read the interviews). "There's nothing that anybody can say negatively to me that will make me believe you are correct."-interview with Kingston Whig Standard prior to Mania. Uh yeah, the 30 year old guys who boo you for not being very good at your job are kind of right, especially when they pay your salary by spending arguably the most money at the shows. I think that's my biggest problem with him (and quite frankly turns me off to ever liking him), is that he either is very stupid about the way a business works or that he doesn't understand that those 30 year old guys (parents, just like he and I) are the fans he wants to be invested in him. If my 11 year old son likes something, I'm going to check it out to see if it is something I think he needs to have in his life. Take Roman for example here. My son my likes Roman, but if I think he's a bad example to follow, I'm going to do everything in my power to discourage him, but ultimately accept it because it is his choice. Fans are kind of put in that same boat by being forced to accept that this is who Vince and company has chosen to invest time and resources in. Our choice is that we don't have to pay our money if that isn't acceptable. Rant Over.

I really hope they don't change ANYTHING about Nakamura in NXT or on the main roster. He is Shinsuke Nakamura. Don't change it We know that isn't going to happen. Letting Nakamura keep his character without WWE trying to put their spin on it would involve conceding to the fact that someone besides Vince can come up with a good idea. Yeah, Vince would rather eat sh*t than do that.

I hope they win out. We may never see this again, and they more than deserve it. Well, they played much better against San Antonio tonight then they have in recent games. It's possible, but San Antonio has that undefeated home record to keep in tact, which will be tough because Sunday Golden State comes to town. Very interesting.

Speaking of Nakamura, Tyme, what about that reaction? I know it was his debut and all, but he got as good of a reaction as anyone on the roster (main or NXT). I enjoyed the NXT show significantly more than Mania. I was marking out over how much that crowd was marking out. It was the perfect city to debut him in front of. When the whole crowd did the Yeaoh with him I nearly lost my mind. That crowd, that entrance, that match and everything about him made him instantly the top star in the company in my eyes I was worried that it was going to be a mild reaction with some cheesy ass music, but they went above and beyond to give him the star treatment. He's certainly the most over guy in NXT, and I can see him taking the title from Balor when they're ready to move him up.

You guys remember Daniel Bryan? Dude was basically horrible on the mic. Cesaro just needs a hook; like literally one dumb thing he does or says that people can mimic and he will be a massive deal. Some weird priorities when people want to see the pretty, tanned guy wrestle mediocre matches instead of a ing godly athlete tear the house down every night. Am I saying Cesaro can be the Rock? No. But Roman Reigns can't be either and I sure as hell know who I'd prefer to see wrestle Aj Styles in PPV main events. This basically, but I want to piggyback off it. I think Caesaro is the complete package personally. He is over because of his wrestling, good solid look, and I thought the Superman suit entrance last night was a stroke of genius. His mic skills are average, but a lot of legends had average mic skills at the start and worked into component mic workers (Bret is the prime example). It's really a matter of comfort in front of the camera and figuring out how to take the pre written promos they give guys and make it his own. I'll give you an example of how comfort works. I recently got my teaching license, and in my student teaching experience I learned there are two aspects of audience interaction. 1. Build rapport with them, which is something Caesaro has done with his matches and physical charisma. 2. Find that comfort speaking in front of them to get your point across in a way that gets them to believe in you. This is what Caesaro needs to work on and it just comes with time. Some guys get it earlier and easier than others, but to say Caesaro is doomed to the midcard is ignorant and not a fair assessment of his abilities. If he's worked that hard to become good in the ring, he has the work ethic to tighten up the holes in his game.

Nakamura shook Sami's hand and left the ring to him so Sami could have his moment despite it being Nakamura's debut. That is just about the least heelish thing a person could do. Asuka basically flaunted the title in front of Bayley after she won. If they didn't like the outcome why should they cheer? That's kinda where I'm getting hung up with your argument here. Speaking of Nakamura, Tyme, what about that reaction? I know it was his debut and all, but he got as good of a reaction as anyone on the roster (main or NXT). I enjoyed the NXT show significantly more than Mania.
