I found the MNW UEs at the Gibsonia Walmart. There was 1 each of Piper and Bret and I bought both. No sign of the Rock 3 pack, and they had a fresh case of MNW S1 out. Congrats, man. Lucky dog. I've giving it another week and then I'm hittin' the bay. Gibsonia totally redid the toy department - everything was moved to entirely new aisles. So I'm hoping they were waiting and are just putting things out and they'll start showing up for everybody. I'll ping you if I come across them.

Booker had such a slow burn to his evolution in WCW - it would have been wild to see what a few years at the top of the card could have done. I wish more booking followed the Bret Hart/HBK/Booker build of a long, established tag run, strong run with the midcard title, and then moving into the title picture. The crowds are invested and have seen their evolution play out.
It seems like any time there's a potential singles star in a tag they immediately hot shot a breakup and a singles run before the crowd really has fully latched onto the character.

Did something happen with Endeavor and the contracts? nothing is happening, probably some click bait website has endeavor as the reason Xia, Jinder etc got released Yeah, I haven't seen anything related to any negative changes around the legends/nostalgia program. I'd chalk this up as idle speculation unless there's something concrete.

If this can be a sign that we are getting people back like Ventura, Demolition, Hercules, One Man Gang, Dynamite Kid, Barbarian, and more, the future for Legends and Coliseum Collection lines would be amazing! There's a lot of reasons for optimism, but don't exect a magic bullet solution. HHH/Kahn are known deal makers and have shown the willingness to mend fences. That's a game changer for guys like Warrior, Bruno, Ventura, etc where there was legit bad blood with Vince. But other bottlenecks are likely unchanged - WWE has to see money to be made, the talent have to be willing to sign, there are a limited number of slots, etc.

I’m not sure if Galoob’s were more niche or less niche than BendEms from the 90’s. Maybe more niche just because so few series were produced and for a shorter/less popular period of time. That said, I would have bought 10-20 figures by now had they been made in the Galoob style and not the Bendies style. At least in terms of availability, I saw the Galoob figures a lot more frequently than BensEms. The single pack and tag team packs were still at stores into probably 94/95 in my area. Maybe Galoob was more niche because the statue style figures were an anomoly even for the time. But when I think of early 90s WCW figures, I 100% associate that with Galoob.

This sucks. I hope Mattel could find a way to rerelease Bret and Piper at some point. Sucks not to have a damn Walmart. I have to think we'll see most of the Walmart UE figures get re-releases eventually. They're doing the Target exclusive Batista (with different tights). There's probably some kind of exclusivity window, so it may take a couple years. But I'm sure we'll get them eventually.

Anyone else think the heads on Saraya and Jericho look oddly small? Nice to see some new product and pushing JJ to Ringside is smart.

If it's a figure I like, sure. Anchor talent is just that, and with WWE's marketing machine kids today are still exposed to names like Hogan or Warrior.

I checked my Target last night just for the hell of it but, nothing but Hogans. I'm guessing that's a sign that ichiban hogans are going to be plentiful for whoever wants one. With the exception of Paul E, every legend has been pretty plentiful in my area since they gave figures individual item numbers. Most of the last 5-6 waves are still available on target.com for SRP.

We should see a few returns to the line this year - Regal, Tito Santana, Fit Finlay, and Madusa. The Wild Samoans will probably pop up either as Mattel Creations exclusives or in a Bloodline box set.
Haku and US Express seem likey, but I could see them taking into 2026 to find the appropriate slot.
Flair is under a multi-year deal with AEW, so I think he's going to be out for some time. Sting still feels unlikely to me, but maybe the relationship is less sour with Vince gone. Matt Hardy seems more likely to end up in Impact or even MLW since he seems to want to wrestle until he's totally immobile.
For new names, I'm predicting Ivory and Steve Blackman. And I think Steve alluded to at least one FTIL territories era figure coming up - I think Ivan Putski may fit there. And Andy Kaufman seems like a fit as the SDCC figure following his HOF introduction last year.

At this point I think I'm done with PowerTown. I really liked the first batch of figures, but they're just too out of scale with Jazwares/Mattel to be passable. If they would have shrunk them down 20% they'd be perfect.

Maybe there was a brief pause in development to see how things turned out after Rick Steiner verbally attacked that wrestler because he disagreed with their identity? That seems plausible. Nothing to back that up with but the time table seems to match if these figures are usually on a one year schedule from start to finish as the incident happened at last year’s WrestleCon. I still think the timing is odd considering we’ve gotten renders for Punk and a bunch of new figures. How long have the Steiners been signed for? They can both be slated for a reveal AND delayed due to the situation with Rick last year. Development may have been frozen or they were pulled and needed to be slotted in much later. All of their most iconic looks are pretty deco heavy for one or both figures. So there are probably a lot of moving pieces if they had to be pushed back. At the end of the day, I just care that we get the figures. I've waited this long, and can wait a little longer.

This was my second favorite reveal all-time, behind SDCC 2016. It's a solid A for me.
It's relative for me. We're 10+ years into the line. The days of 10-15 FTIL reveals and a bunch of top-top wanted attires are gone. There's just too much ground that has already been covered.
They knocked out some desired looks with jeans DDP and WM8 Hogan, some unique roster building deep cuts like the post NOD Faarooq and WHO/New Foundation Neidhart, and there were some nice FTIL reveals. The design work has really been solid, and the UE line in general has breathed new life into actually upgrading existing releases. The Greatest Hits and Vault lines are fantastic additions for newer collectors or those who missed high demand figures, even if this board isn't the target audience.
Is there room for improvement? Sure. But I think they really hit a home run here and the team deserved credit where due.

So, I believe there has been only one report here of finding the MNW Ultimates. Has anyone else had any luck finding them? Things have been pretty slim in the Pittsburgh area. Wave 145 hit Walmarts, but I've only seen Sami and Gunther. I did snag a Gunther. I've been looking and haven't seen any sign of them. I've checked Gibsonia and Cranberry every day or two.

This has been my favorite set of reveals since SDCC 2016 (AJ Styles, Goldust flashback, Harlem Heat, Tatanka, Beefcake, Cactus Jack, plus some big NXT reveals including Nakamura - I don't know if that will ever be topped for me).
Two and a half years ago it wasn't crazy to think we'd never get another CM Punk figure PERIOD. Eight months ago getting another Punk Mattel figure seemed impossible. Now we've already seen half a dozen figures. Plus a crazy amount of new stars, deep cuts, and re-releases that will make you happy whether you've been collecting the line for a decade or started this weekend.
The weekend was a total home run in my book. I just hope my wallet and shelf space can keep pace.

I'm sorry but stuff like this just doesn't help. We've been relaxing for almost two years now, no Steiners ruined the weekend for a ton of people. It should help, I am more or less providing you with a hugely unnecessary winking eye to the fact that eventually you will find out more. If your entire weekend was ruined after seeing how many other things are coming out and the fact that figures need to be slotted at certain times as we've all known, always, with every line and so for certain things we have to wait, I can't help you Your winking eye just made my weekend, Tom. But seriously, this has been an amazing week of reveals with something for everybody. The positivity wasn't bound to last, but the Mattel team really hit a home run. Hope the RSC and Mattel crews got to enjoy a fun weekend full of cheese steaks and their beverage of choice.

I felt like I'd seen Steve mention something in regard to how appearances in the video games does not always = availability for figure likenesses... ...this was last year, and I thought I'd seen something even more specific than that, but it seems like it might be helpful to folks here to not entirely get their hopes up over character A, B, or C appearing in the games being a sign that figures are coming. And as an aside...can we stop saying that any character who happened to be in 2K but didn't have figures revealed was a HUGE part of 2K? Savage was in 2K this year...and that's about it. He's as big a part of the game as anyone else who had a single showcase match and only got another attire on account of DLC. There clearly is overlap 2k added headbangers, dudleys, muta and sandman and we’ve just seen them all get new figs by mattel There are also plenty of Legends contracts in the public domain that shows that these deals are 98% cookie cutter. Yes, there will be exceptions. Hogan was an exception when he had a conflicting figure contract with Storm but was in other merch. But if you look at the past 5-6 years, there is almost total overlap with dozens of examples. The logistics of inserting talent into a video game or trading card is just a lot easier/faster than making an action figure. That said, exceptions are far more likely at talent levels like Macho Man than D'Lo Brown. We'll just have to wait and see on Savage. But for run of the mill talent, there is absolutely direct correlation.

Mattel is one of the most conservative companies out there from a brand protection/PR standpoint. At various it's been indicated that we would never get Luger or Hall because they were associated with deaths, and that wrestlers who died by suicide were off limits.
It's not crazy to think Mattel higher ups made the call for no Steiners.

Huh, maybe they actually did lose Steiners licensing. Can’t fathom why we still haven’t seen early WWF era figures of them. Bummer. I could see Mattel not wanting to touch Rick. But no Scott is weird.
