Yes, I'm ridiculous and bumping this thread. Does anyone happen to have these pics still laying around? I'm working on a project and would like these for posterity's sake.

WWE attire, massive head, ear piece. Give us denim DDP already!! So there’s nothing wrong with it, got it This is exactly what I'm talking about. Didn't get the attire I wanted...IT'S TRASH!

The amount of bitching and complaining on these boards is incredible.
These are all, fairly objectively, fantastic action figures. So you didn't get your favorite guy, you didn't get the attire you wanted, some minute detail isn't painted in, a guy you happen to not like (as a television personality, no less) is in a line and you disagree with it, or you don't know if an attire was ever actually worn...The level of entitlement is just astounding.
Think logically for just a second and realize we're collecting a line that gets better every release (the last two years have provided almost endless options for "Figure of the Year" candidates), provides more options with every release (2 in 1s, multiple heads/hands), and with mostly better quality each time out (scans are fantastic, and we're almost exclusively soft goods at this point).
I'm sure I'll get flamed and called a Mattel mark, but I can recognize that for $15.97-$19.99, and with the ability to autonomously pick and choose what I do/do not purchase, I'm really astounded at how freaking amazing this line is...and how crapty the fans of it typically are.
End of rant.

I know this DDP is based on the Positively Page gimmick, but it could stand in for 2000 era WCW DDP (without the headset), right? As far as I know, he didn't wear those kind of pants until he got to the WWF. In 2000, he was still wearing the black tights (which he also wore during the Invasion). You may be right. Looks like I may need to find some black tight legs then...

Nope. Never Anything from after 2000 has no place There is another! I too only collect anything pre-2001.
I dislike WWE's current product so much so that I haven't really been tempted to get anyone modern whatsoever outside of Luke Harper and Daniel Bryan and those were fleeting feelings.

I actually have no figures of him--I only collect pre-2000 guys--but he's been THE one that I've considered numerous times just because of how talented he was. Every time I saw your signature I'd always think about grabbing one of his figures.

I haven't been able to watch since the early 00s with any consistency. Doesn't mean I don't absolutely love the 80s-early 00s. Where wrestling is concerned, I am absolutely content to live in the past. Seconded.
I love 80s and 90s WCW, ECW, and WWF, but just cannot get into today's product. I also have trouble supporting current WWE and its horrible labor practices, knowing what I know about the working environment and health issues wrestlers are prone to. (Yes, I know that I buy the figures so I support WWE, but I try to minimize my support.)

I don't think this was a bot thing. If you looked, the amount of followers for the MC Insta account went up by thousands the few hours before. I got two of these at 11:59 a.m. and I suspect there are hundreds of others like me that aren't posting on this board.

Got two of these this morning for the price of the one I ordered--and then had canceled--on eBay. SCORE!

Anyone have any insight into this yet? It's 12:06! Goes on sale at noon tomorrow. What's wrong with me? How did I get those dates mixed up? Has it always been the 23rd?

Like Kamala, there are minor differences on Papa Shango too. The logo is larger or smaller on the chest between HoF and Flashback. (I can't recall which.)
IMO nothing to focus on, but I kept Papa because I'm a psychopath.

Are these actual customs, or are you doing these within photoshop? Either way, love both of these threads.

Elites and Ultimates: Golden Age-Attitude Era with my cutoff being WrestleMania X7, when Austin turned heel. I stopped watching right around here. I collect every Elite/Ultimate released from this era, with no quantity rules or anything like that.
Retros: All.
Try to buy as many MoC to ensure condition, but I open them all up.

Probably not the worst plan. I've been lucky enough to find all the exclusives I've wanted except Ohno at retail. But the amount of time and gas I've spent to find a needle in a haystack every couple of months is probably way more than the extra $10-15 I'd spend to buy the exclusives on ebay once prices settle out. This. I've found almost all the exclusives I've wanted, but at what cost? The cost of many, many lites of gas and hours in the car. And that's not even mentioning the amount of cumulative time I've spent in Wal-Mart and just shopping in general. Somewhat depressing to think about. Same. I realized how much time (driving all over the place, Brickseek, etc.), money (wasted gas), effort (focusing on finding these figures instead of living my life) I was spending trying to track these down and decided that it just wasn't worth my time, money, effort anymore. I'm now pretty happy just grabbing the exclusives off Mercari and grabbing extras when/if I come across them naturally and maybe making some money back reselling those. (Call me a scalper; I don't care.)

Cue the Dr. Evil speech: "My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium..."
When I was in second grade, my parents divorced. My mother uprooted and brought me and my sister to live with my aunt, uncle, and their five boys. I was born in 1985, and four of them were spawned just a bit before, in the heart of wrestling's heyday.
I remember my uncle doing the Dusty strut and asking if I wanted to "meet Mr. Elbow." I remember Lincoln Logs, Weird Al Yankovic, Super Star Wars, Duck Hunt, Mario Bros., Hogan and Bundy LJNs, and my cousins sticking yellow-bordered WCW cards to their walls with their boogers. If we behaved all day, I could pick something from a "treasure box" my aunt stored in her closet. I almost always took one of those WCW cards, which I'm sure she got in bulk at the Christmas Tree Shop.
I remember all these things, but most of all, I remember being happy in an otherwise crapty situation. To this day, I cherish that period of my life.
After we moved out of their house, I collected wrestling and Star Wars figures. I never had a massive collection--but I always dreamed about it. Now that I'm older, and I have some expendable money, I'm able to make that come true. There're times I think it's incredibly irresponsible (I've got kids!). There are times I question what I'm doing. There are times it loses its fun.
But after I spend a few hours in my toy room, organizing my figures (loose only!), admiring a sculpt, finding a detail I'd previously missed, or recreating moments in history, I'm transported back to that very important time in my life. I love it.

Does anyone have a good solution for fixing up loose ankle joints? I have a legends Rowdy Roddy Piper from the 2-pack with Orton and it is the ONLY figure on my shelf that will not stand up.
I keep hearing something go bump in the night in my toy room, and I think, "Well, there goes Roddy again."
Thanks in advance!

This is a very solid series, and every figure(except for 1-2-3 Kid, whose face scan isn't the best IMO) could win. Personally I voted for Ryback because I like the deco, the accessories, the sculpt, and the overall likeness the most.
