If you didn't know any better, you'd think Top Picks was the main series of the line given what's on shelves. It would be one thing if it was just the store exclusive series I couldn't find in person, it's a whole different ball game when the only reliable way to obtain main line elites is paying a premium to get them off RSC. Maybe one day Mattel will step into the 21st century and sell their crap on their own website. Elite 106 was all over those shippers that went out My area has 5 Walmarts, I go to 4 of them regularly, none of them got the shipper. You bring up a great point, where ARE these main lines going? Online retailers are either selling out or selling them at a "premium" and you can't find them at retail most of the time, so what's going on? Mattel passes the buck with store exclusive distribution constantly, so what's the excuse for this?

seriously. this is a real problem lately. i dont understand what is happening anymore. that being said, it looks like mainline elites have a spot on the shelf below the pegs now after these resets, hopefully they actually start getting some I feel like these SHOULD be the "bread & butter" of the line. I thought we determined several years ago that there are 6 series per year - so that's a new series every-other-month. It seems like Walmart skips series and maybe gets ONE CASE of EVERY OTHER series or even EVERY THIRD series (like a case every 4 months). If you aren't the first collector to stumble upon the case when they put it out you probably aren't getting the hot ones (especially the chases). Especially discouraging that they aren't even prominent on this new plan-o-gram, where it seems Basics rule. Bottom shelf if they have Elites at all. I'm sure Walmart/Mattel's argument is that they aren't selling. That's because they're never stocked. To make matters worse, Amazon only seems to get them randomly anymore and Ringside has been sold out of most of them, probably because they aren't available anywhere else. If you didn't know any better, you'd think Top Picks was the main series of the line given what's on shelves. It would be one thing if it was just the store exclusive series I couldn't find in person, it's a whole different ball game when the only reliable way to obtain main line elites is paying a premium to get them off RSC. Went to target early on the 28th but nothing was on shelves, tags on the pegs were all for legends 21. After checking popfindr I wasn't too worried, my local store had plenty of Lou, yoko, sultan and about 10 hogans all in stock. checked popfindr about 2 hours later and Yoko and Lou were COMPLETELY wiped out. saw that people were going the instore pickup route. I remember trying that with legends 15 Kane and target ending up canceling my order saying that the item wasn't yet stocked on that series release date. I ended up ordering Lou and Yoko to be shipped, should arrive today. Target has figured this out. If only walmart would take a look at how target deals with exclusives... Target likes money more than Walmart I guess. Walmart not fulfilling online orders/pre-orders is just is genuinely idiotic stuff. It not only guarantees them a sale, it actively saves them money.

Looking at the missing figures by PPV appearances is really interesting, and makes the holes even more glaring to me. As a golden era collector, where’s Hercules?! He was a staple for SO long! Also, I know One Man Gang wasn’t around for all that long as that character, but was surprised to see him not crack the top 25 of missing legends from the era (unless getting an Akeem disqualified him?). IMO characters shouldn't equal people. Tensai should not count as Albert/A-Train having a figure. If it's a different name, in most cases it should count as different. Hell, there are even people going under the same name who should count as different, like DX Billy Gunn shouldn't count as Smoking Gunn's Billy.

- I help people when I can, but I'm never going to buy something if I don't 100% know they want it. If you are buying tons of stuff to "sell" at cost + shipping, it's a double edged sword and I don't have a strong opinion on it. - Swapping is an unforgivable sin. - For now I'm following the straight and narrow, I could have scummed Target for legends 22 when they put them out two weeks ago. However, the moment I eat crap because I did the right thing, it's all fair after that in my book. Don't put crap out if you aren't gonna sell it, don't stop me from buying and then leave it out so someone else can come by and scum the store which just ends up with both of us getting screwed. - Buying all the figs to resell or whatever is a dick move and should be generally frowned upon. - Anything on the sales floor is fair game as long as you aren't a tool about it. Don't unstack a bunch of boxes to open up a fresh case and then leave a mess behind. Put things back the way you found them. - I don't think people working at these stores, buying wrestling figures in particular, is as wide spread of an issue as people make it out to be. However, if you know for sure it's happening, then it's a scummy thing to do and they are open to the consequences of their actions. - Never ran into another collector like this, but I assume it's first come first serve and you just try to be polite about it. - I'm not gonna hide figures like a child and no one else should. If a person wants a figure bad enough they'll pay you back if you buy it for them. If they are indecisive and aren't committed, then it's up to them to come and get them like everyone else. - "How much are these posts" shouldn't be a thing, use Google. I know why they are asking but it's just idiotic to do and shouldn't be tolerated from both a moral and logical stand point. - Expecting people not to buy a figure because they don't know which is the chase is ridiculous and would only drive people to buy both and figure it out later. A perfect example to me was the King Mabel elite, it was had to tell which was which even with Google. After I figured it out, I went with the chase because it was the better purchase of the two. Overall, I think the collector community has an issue where the expectation is that you should help everyone else. You shouldn't go out of your way to screw other people and should treat people with respect, but collecting is an inherently selfish hobby. If it's clear I am following a higher standard than others, then there's no reason for me to continue. Other than having a weird sense of moral superiority, and that doesn't look good on a shelf. * When I went to Target on Sunday (4/28 "Street Date") right when they opened at 8am, there were two other collectors "fast walking" right towards the toy area. In my mind, I was thinking "well if these dude's clear off the shelf before I get to it, that's crummy." And I knew I wouldn't get a chase. Fortunately it didn't matter as the shelves were empty and all the new stuff was in the back. Not saying it's their fault, but I'm drawing the line at RUNNING/RACING to the figure aisle when the store opens so that I can find the chase. I'm just not doing that. * My only point was that someone who doesn't know what figures are worth or which ones are chases should just leave them for the collectors or the people who bothered to research it before going to the store. If they don't know, they clearly aren't hobbyists, they are opportunists. It's childish to run for toys like that, but at the same token, it's always gonna be first come first serve. No one is gonna hold hands and skip to the toy aisle together even if they are a cool person. If you got there first and someone else arrived a minute after you, would you have given them the chase if they wanted it? If the answer is no, that's why they speed walked. Someone's gotta go without, it's just a matter of how much you are willing to do to make sure it's not you. I'm not doing homework before I go to the store, and I'm especially not doing it for toys. I'm sorry, but that's a BS expectation. Asking how much is one thing, but just because someone asks which is the chase doesn't mean they are looking to flip it. If someone told me that I shouldn't buy anything if I can't figure out which is the chase after I asked, I'd buy both before I leave the store empty handed.

VALHALLA WITH GD ANTLERS! Makes me wish that Mattel did a Treacherous Trios type line. There’s so many 3 packs that would be good to get. Ain't no way anyone is 30+ dollars for 3 basics now adays lol.

I know this board has a list of "Rules" and Admins to enforce them.... But I wonder if we need to collectively create a "Code of Ethics" when it comes to collecting.... To include but not limited to: * Scalping vs. "Helping" other collectors * Figure Swapping * Self Checkout Etiquette * Buying all the figures on the shelf, or leaving some for others * Just outright stealing the shipper displays * Pallet etiquette - is it okay to buy something off the pallet? * Working at a Store & buying all the stuff before customers ever see it * What to do if you and another "collector" arrive at the freshly-stocked shelves at the exact same time * Hiding figures elsewhere in the store for later purchase or for others to purchase * People who post on Facebook from the store "how much are these worth?" and "which one is the chase?" when they find a chase. I'll take this one - if you don't know - the right thing is to NOT buy it. I got my Sultan today and I'm honestly blown away. Between the new tooling, soft goods, and subtle deco hits, they really went all out for such a niche character. Awesome work by Bill and I'm amazed they fit it in the budget in a set where all 4 figs have soft goods. If my copy didn't have the QC issues it does, it would easily be my figure of the year so far.

That sucks! Are they pinless knee joints? That happened with a recent Cyclops Marvel Legends fig I got too. I feel like the joints don’t work as well, are too tight, and I don’t really have a problem with pins, personally. Yup, they are the pinless ones. The more I look at my copy, the more QC issues I find. I hope they all aren't this bad, because it's an otherwise beautiful figure. I've sent Mattel an email about this so I'm hoping for a replacement or something.

Just my luck, I got the Sultan and Yoko I wanted, and I open the Sultan only to find out one of the knee joints is fused with the bottom of the upper thigh. You can even see where the melted plastic on the backside of the joint.

"at least one spot for mnr elites and ultimates".... ....to be filled with aew figures. You do not know frustration until you ask an associate stocking shelves in the toy aisle when they are getting more WWE figures after months of empty pegs, only to get hit with "what are you talking about, There's ton of WWE figures left?!?". It was all Jerichos, Eddie Kingstons and the other dog water Jazwares no one wants on the wrong pegs, because there's no more room on the shelves for them.

A literal Who's Who of the RA. There's also way more if you count gimmick changes like no A-Train, Bid Daddy V, etc.
- Kid Kash - Paul London - Ultimo - Billy Kidman - Shannon Moore - Tajiri - Spike Dudley - Maven - Nunzio - OG Divari - Funaki - Chavo Classic - Eugene - Lance Storm - Charlie Haas - Simon Dean - Stevie Richards - Joey Mercury/Jamie Nobel (if you don't count their 2 pack as J&J security) - Mexicools - La Resistance - Highlanders - Bashams - Cade/Murdoch - Gymini Twins - The Holly Cousins - Kenny Dykstra + The Spirit Squad (sans Nickey) - Chuck Palumbo - Orlando Jordan - Jesse - Rico - Grandmaster Sexay - Mr. Kennedy - Rob Conway - Kenzo Suzuki - Luther Reigns - Rodney Mack - Heninreich - Nathan Jones - Matt Morgan - Mark Jindrak - Tyson Tomko - Sean O'Hare - Snitsky - Test - Jesus - Bam Neely - Manu - Vito - Kevin Thorn - Mike Knox - Marcus Cor Von - Elijah Burke - Sabu - Balls Mahoney - Justin Credible - Colin Delaney - Tony Atlas - Matt Striker

That would be badass since now they are "officially partnered" with the UFC they could reasonably make the Super Fight championship, and they have the ability to make the "Territory Heavyweight Championship" to go with him. Not specifically wrestling related. But, inshallah UFC gets a toy deal with Mattel, there's so many classic MMA guys I want to see as figures like him. Especially with Fedor being under a UFC merch deal.

Still thinking about how at the Mattel WWE World presentation Punk asked “How about the Bret Hart gear?” and then Bill and Steve showed us the ugly main event figure. Lmao I can't imagine how the conversation that led to the decisions regarding Punk went. Alrighty guys, you have a chance to make a bunch of money with Punk figures since he's been gone for years and is as hot as ever. What's the plan? Mattel: Oh easy we'll make his first figure street gear! Then we'll make his first main line elite...house show gear that's all black because of a wardrobe error! Umm what about some classic looks, like Rumble 2010 and the Bret Hart gear? People really want those. Mattel: Of course we are making those...as basics! We are also doing The Pipe Bomb as an exclusive elite. OK...I guess it's better than nothing, I'm sure his ultimate edition will be something big. Mattel:

Well , Jazwares is finally gonna get my money. Assuming this comes out anywhere near as good as the render looks, it's an instant purchase. I just want it due to supreme sting, although doesn't match his TNA look with hair it's good enough It's as close to a TNA Jarrett we will ever get, so it. Plus the box is sweet, I might buy 2, keep one MOC, open the other and change the head to a 3D printed one.

Who could/would take on the license if it became available? I'm fine with AEW Figures becoming an online exclusive line. I don't enjoy hunting for figures, especially when there are no figures to hunt. I just want to buy what I want. At this point, their best bet would be a boutique company like STORM or Super7. Places that make expensive, specialty figures, in low amounts. Otherwise no mass toy maker would touch them with a 10 foot pole after looking at their sales numbers for this line, and the AEW brand itself just isn't desirable mainstream.
