Piper appears to be on through the Hot Rod engine on top of the Big Red Machine. Interesting to note that the Lex Express indicates we're getting the Made in the USA Lex Luger. I wonder if they're sprucing up many of the returning legends as it appears we're not getting any new ones (unless by some miracle those checkers are for Koko B Ware, or the Sparky Plugg is for Bob Holly, two things that are extremely unlikely). Razor, Diesel, USA Lex, NAO Billy (maybe). Hopefully other legends also get new attires. Legends with no apparant signs of returning. Batista Col. Mustafa D-Lo Farooq Fit Finlay General Adnan Haku (unless the claw is supposed to be Tongan Death Grip) Kama Ken Shamrock? (unless that's a Shamrock in the front of the Lex Express). Lord Regal Mikey Whipreck Paul Wight? Savio Vega SGT. Slaughter AHA! Thanks. I actually thought the whole thing was a bagpipe shaped engine at first.

NO PIPER??? D'OH!!!
EDIT - Okay, I'm calm. Gee, you would think in a used car/junkyard environment, "Hot Rod" would be a given.
Oh well, guess I'll have to create him for the CAW achievement in Universe mode.

Pleasantly surprised Bigelow & Skip won the belts. Hopefully Pillman returns to TV as their mouthpiece. Love this AU version of the Triple threat.
Mankind vs. Roberts and Austin vs. Razor are two matches/feuds that needed to happen in real time, but were great reads.
Is Razor-HBK going to happen? Can't wait. Great job, man.

I've come to the conclusion - since 2K17 has Mr. Perfect announced as on-disc - that if we get Ric Flair and Roddy Piper as well (preferably 80s-early 90s versions), then I will definitely get this game.

I'm normally not a current-gen gamer. I'm usually content playing all my old 8/16 bit games with my Retron 5. However, I do have an ancient (by today's standards) 360 that was gifted to me, already red-ring repaired. No Wi-Fi or online compatibility. I've played WWE 12, 13, then 2K14, and 2K16. I'm contemplating whether or not to spend birthday money next month for 2K17, so I have a question or two...
With no Online capability, I've unlocked all content the old fashioned way. Now, as a busy married guy, my time for that would be limited at best. With no Showcase this year, and no way to pay for content, how would a partially locked roster be unlocked? Also, is it possible that all on-disc playable characters might be there, ready to go for 360? (minus eventual DLC of course, which I've always done without).
Thank you for reading. Just trying to figure if it'll be a smart purchase this time.

Just saw the new WWE/Scooby Doo Speed Demon movie. When I hear Frank Welker do Fred's voice, I close my eyes and purposely picture Ray Stantz from The Real Ghostbusters.
Then, it makes me wish for a WWE/Real Ghostbusters animated crossover.
Also... Does this mark the first time Dusty Rhodes (character & voice) was animated into a cartoon of any sort?

Hogan confronting Simmons, and Bret vs. Owen on the next RAW? Exciting.
WM 11 is shaping up to be great. I wonder if the Rick vs. Scott IC title match will have any stips? Guess I have to keep reading.
Is Flair still a part of Dynasty? I don't remember reading about him in the last couple posts. Keep it up, man. This is great.

Never thought I would re-start a WWE figure collection after JAKKS. L3 Mr. Perfect changed that, and I haven't looked back.

I personally think the Hasbro-Style Retros have won SDCC for Mattel. Forgive me, but no matter how far back I go in this thread, I can't get a straight story about them. If anyone could enlighten me on their info, I'd appreciate that. Digging the Taker, Warrior & Owens.

(MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. You have been warned...)
Thanks to my wife, I was able to see Ghostbusters (2016) one night early. Let me get a few things out of the way first...
1) The 1984 version will forever be my favorite movie. 2) Since the age of seven, I have been a fan of every facet of the Sony/Columbia GB franchise, and will be for the rest of my life. 3) I have been a fan of director Paul Feig's body of entertainment work since the mid-80s. 4) Ghostbusters 2016 did not ruin my childhood - or my enjoyment of the originals - at all.
As I mentioned to a Facebook friend right after it ended, this film had enough nods to the original that have to be seen to be done justice. At first, I was worried it was going to be a paint-by-numbers duplicate, but the lead women make it their own.
Kate McKinnon's Jillian Holtzmann. I knew she'd be my favorite right off the bat. I knew she'd steal the show, but she did it just enough that it made me want a sequel - just so her character could be featured more. Perhaps a backstory? Best way I can explain her: She's the live-action daughter to the blond Egon from 'The Real Ghostbusters' cartoon.
Yes, most of the living original main cast have cameos. It's worth noting that Bill Murray has a short, notable role as a debunker of the paranormal. Ironically, he's pretty much the Walter Peck to, well, the ladies' collective Dr. Venkman. Though you can tell he's having fun with the role. No one would treat him as they did with Peck - or William Atherton for that matter.
Another cameo worth mentioning - Robin Shelby; a dear Facebook friend of mine, who actually donned the Slimer costume for Ghostbusters II, returns as the voice for (the CGI) Mrs. Slimer. You can hear her as she rides in the commandeered Ecto 1 with Mr. Slimer himself.
Most of the laughs in our theater were at Chris Hemsworth, as goofy dim-bulb receptionist, Kevin. He did a great job. However, I'm afraid they overdid his stupidity. I'd normally compare him to a hunky Louis Tully, although Louis was actually competent.
Early on, I decided that the only way I'd be unhappy with this reboot is if they kept the 'Ghostbusters' name, but ditched the 'No Ghost' logo. Well, as you'll see, the logo was cleverly established in this story, due to subway graffiti, but it was never explained how it became the patch on their coveralls. It's just a nit-pick, as the original never had that plot detail either. The Big Bad takes form as an evil version of the logo ghost, which I loved simply because it started from a cute talking 2-D animation (not seen since the RGB cartoon interstitials), to the giant evil CGI counterpart.
I think if I go on much longer, I'll keep everyone from seeing it for themselves. This won't ruin a thing if you love the franchise. Just think of it as a companion piece to a multi-verse. Or like what GB II was to the original. Oh... and if Mr. Feig is reading... More Jillian next time. Please.

Fixed for you Seriously... Didn't know if you meant the Filmation toon or not, but 'The Real Ghostbuters', based off the movie, will always be my favorite. Any fan knows that RGB is the ONLY 'Busters cartoon. I'm indifferent towards the Filmation version, but I also never watched the original TV show it was based on, so that might be why I never got into the cartoon. Yeah, and Filmation only made it, to retain their own intellectual property, after Columbia tried to get Filmation to do the animation for the Murray/Ackroyd property, then changed their mind...and their show's title. You're good people, btw.

I'm going to do the old man thing. Cartoons haven't been "great" in decades. TMNT, Looney Tunes, DuckTales, Batman: TAS, MOTU, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Biker Mice from Mars, Inspector Gadget, Tiny Toons, TaleSpin, Rescue Rangers, Jetsons, Tom & Jerry, Animaniacs, Pinky & The Brain, X-Men, Transformers, Smurfs, Snorks, Garfield, GI Joe, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, The Real Ghostbusters, Flintstones, Scooby Doo, Beetlejuice, She-Ra, Captain Planet, Magic School Bus, MASK, Voltron...this was when cartoons were magical! Fixed for you Seriously... Didn't know if you meant the Filmation toon or not, but 'The Real Ghostbuters', based off the movie, will always be my favorite.

Love what you're doing with Lex Luger, reminds me of when Cody Rhodes had his face guard for his imaginary disfigurement.
I wonder if a debuting star will answer Sid's challenge next week.
This is a joy to read, and the fact you take your time with the booking and the posts, really help show that. Thanks for everything and can't wait for WM 11.

I wonder when Mauro decided to quit the Tonight Show in order to sign with WWE?...
...I'm kidding. Though I can't help but be reminded of Steve Higgins when I see him on SmackDown.
